Growler shared by mtjoseph. Thanks bud! Pours a fairly clear, yet somewhat hazy, golden orange. Not a whole lot of head appears. Nice looking, but not overly fantastic. Aroma is malty with a bit of floral hops. Mainly caramel in the aroma. Flavor is grassy, some pepper notes, and just a nice touch of sweet caramel malt. That strong pepper not is a bit out of place to me. Lighter body. Maybe the first miss from Fitgers for me. Just didn’t hit the mark for me. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - APR 1, 2005
A rich orange honey pour, lightly topped with a fully diminishing head. Aromas of floral, lemon, and light honey. Somewhat different hops presentation, more rounded but leaving a somewhat unpleasant strong bitter residue on the palate. Rich, but dry. Not much depth. I feel like I’m eating grass. A little sharp floral finish in the nose. Palate is drinkable. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 16, 2004
Amber Coloring With Good Head. Hoppy Aroma....Dry on Mouth. Possibly Small Amount of Citrus... Decent Ale. beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2003
Color is a clear yellow with a small puffy white head that fades to a fairly decent skim that stays present and leaves thin patches and strings of lace. Smell is way light of dried hop, barelt detectable. Taste has a good amount of dried hops, piney and resin filled, favorable malt backbone, balance is towards the hops, with a close to medium body feel, very smooth and drinkable, a bit milder then most pales, but indeed nice on its own accord.
