Clear dark amber with a small off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is all caramel. Taste is caramel and bitters
Sampled at the Cock Tavern. Clear amber color, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit weird, a bit plant like. Taste malts, caramel, again a bit plant like, some butter and old hops. Average body, firm carbonation. leaparsons (10765) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2014
Cask, The Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Hazy copper, red with a cream foam. Aromas are raisins and red berries with toffee and oak barrel. Peppery alcohol with a light smokiness. Bready yeast with orange rind and pine. Flavours are juicy, fruity malts with toffee and a grapefruit and pine bitterness. Sweet oranges with spices. Smooth on the palate, perhaps too slick, with a spicy, herbal finish. Decent. ATulloch (330) - Aberdeenshire, SCOTLAND - JUL 31, 2014
Bottle from deeside drinks emporium. Pours a reddish brown with a small white head that doesn’t stay around long. A strange mix of aromas. Varnished wood, blackcurrant wine gum and strawberry jam with something spicy in there. Taste is similar but with a strong pine finish that leaves a spice on taste buds.

Half pint of cask at FyneFest. A very deep red colour. More head than average. Medium consistency. graham_murphy (701) - - JUN 8, 2014
A red as I like it. Solid IPA base from the hops with sweetness from the rye and biscuit/caramel from the malt. Fresh, spicy and very tasty. Stuu666 (14905) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 6, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours deep red, a bit cheesy, sweet toffee, dry, pine, bitter. zacgillbanks (5506) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark red-brown beer with a sweet red fruity and citrus flavour followed by roasted notes and a liquorice and pine finish. Superb!
