COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Keg & Bottle; Regular.

A full bodied, aromatic Red Rye ale brewed with malted barley, the addition of 20% Rye to the recipe, and with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. We think the Rye in the recipe gives some dryness and spice, and the hops add a dash of pine and passion fruit, but see what you think, everyones taste buds are different. This is an incredibly flavoursome Red Ale, full of lots of interesting tastes and aromas.

A red as I like it. Solid IPA base from the hops with sweetness from the rye and biscuit/caramel from the malt. Fresh, spicy and very tasty.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark red-brown beer with a sweet red fruity and citrus flavour followed by roasted notes and a liquorice and pine finish. Superb!

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest 14. Reddish amber with white head. Mid malted beer, fruity sweetness with a hint of graininess then a nicely hopped follow through, fruit cocktail in character. Pretty reasonable in my book.

(Cask at White Horse, Parsons Green, London, 11 Apr 2014) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with red fruit, caramel, toast and rye bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of red fruit, rye bread, caramel and a sharp resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Possibly not perfectly balanced, but very tasty. Nice one.
