COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Keg & Bottle; Regular.

A full bodied, aromatic Red Rye ale brewed with malted barley, the addition of 20% Rye to the recipe, and with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. We think the Rye in the recipe gives some dryness and spice, and the hops add a dash of pine and passion fruit, but see what you think, everyones taste buds are different. This is an incredibly flavoursome Red Ale, full of lots of interesting tastes and aromas.

Bottle. This is rather good. Has a nice hoppy taste and still has some rye spiciness.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark red-brown beer with a sweet red fruity and citrus flavour followed by roasted notes and a liquorice and pine finish. Superb!

33cl bottle @ home from Ninas Mini Market, Edinburgh. Body is opalescent red - deep amber, Head is medium, creamt, beige, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is tropical fruits, Flavor is grapefruit, pine, light milk chocolate, caramel, medium roasted malt, spices, vegetables. Light to medium sweet, heavy hoppy bitter, light fruity sour. Finish is long lasting heavy hoppy bitter. Full body, dry sticky texture, average carbonation. Not too easy, very tasty, interesting.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2014 Re-rated from a fresh bottle. Massive bitter hops, very zingy and hitting the spot a lot more than last time! Crazy good.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines, Hackney. Pours Mahogany brown, alcoholic liquored nose, extremely bitter with a little zest but shying away from any sweetness. Modest carbonation. Probably a little too bitter for me.

Nice red / brown with a deep off white head. Very hoppy and a smooth bitterness. Lots of the usual citrus, floral, and some tropical notes. Good beer!

Legacy rating. Bottle from subscription box. Pours cloudy amber with decent stone coloured head. Aroma rather malty with treacle, marmalade, some woody notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Very drinkable and tasty.

Bottle at home on 27th January 2017; received as gift. Deep reddish brown hazy body with yellowy white shallow foam. Yeasty aroma with citrus hops. Nutty malts and citrus hoppiness in-mouth make for a bitter overall taste, which continues into the finish before fading into fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body. Superb.

Cask gravity at Five Points brewery. Hoppy American amber beer. Sweet fruity malty but nice though. Good hops on the finish. Yes a very good American amber.
