A full bodied, aromatic Red Rye ale brewed with malted barley, the addition of 20% Rye to the recipe, and with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. We think the Rye in the recipe gives some dryness and spice, and the hops add a dash of pine and passion fruit, but see what you think, everyone’s taste buds are different. This is an incredibly flavoursome Red Ale, full of lots of interesting tastes and aromas.

Bubbly beige head stayed well on a murky, rustic body. Spicy aroma with dark fruit, demerara, malt & caramel. Medium to full bodied. Thick & creamy on the palate with a nice clean back. Much as the aroma, malts, spicy dark fruit, hints of sugar & a piney & yeast finish.

Pint from keg at the Hack & Hop. Malty beer, great aroma, and great preseance

Bottle at home on 27th January 2017; received as gift. Deep reddish brown hazy body with yellowy white shallow foam. Yeasty aroma with citrus hops. Nutty malts and citrus hoppiness in-mouth make for a bitter overall taste, which continues into the finish before fading into fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body. Superb.

Legacy rating. Bottle from subscription box. Pours cloudy amber with decent stone coloured head. Aroma rather malty with treacle, marmalade, some woody notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Very drinkable and tasty.

Keg Half Pint at London Brewers Market, Spitalfields, London, July 2016 - Mid Brown/Red in colour. Tan head. Malty; grainy rye malts, toffee. Spicy. Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus. Hoppy; piney hops. Very Bitter. Very Dry. (2016-07-23)

Bottle. This is rather good. Has a nice hoppy taste and still has some rye spiciness.

stevoj (5040) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 5, 2016
Draft at Euston Tap. Muddy brown pour, small tight head, lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is malt, molasses and some savory notes. Taste brings out the malts a bit more, brown bread, hoppy notes grow to a bitter finish. Smooth, yet sharp.

Moolesen (558) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 23, 2016
Bottle 33cl. Red/brown with a tanned foamy head. Funny aroma of sweet malt and some hops in the back. Bitter taste with some sweetness. Strange combination. The bitterness stays quite long.

oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2016
Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small beige creamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is smoked wet wood, some rye bread and mild citrusy and floral notes. Flavour is quite similar, but has a nice crisp maltiness to it.
