Keg at the Kings Arms Bethnal Green. It looked great in the glass, with a deep and dark colour and a very fine head. Lots of roasty toasty malts on the nose and in the flavour. A very good mouthfeel from all of the malt and lingering taste on the palate. The pint slipped down a treat, but one was enough because of the (pleasant) richness. miniash891989 (124) - - JUL 22, 2017
Bottle at Dundee Arms, strong coffee nose with chocolate hints, jet black appearance, very bitter! Tastes a lot stronger then 4.8%!

Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, biscuity malts, coffee, subtle dark fruits, a hint of sourness and slight spicy hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, roasted bitterness in the finish. A simple porter but made so well. Roasted, chocolatey and coffee bitterness with some biscuit and subtle fruit. Cask. Really solid porter. Real porter, I can get behind it. Steady beige head. Sweet, oily, deeply to style. Classic. Drinks bigger than the 4.8% ABV would suggest. The Etruscan (690) - Tuscany, ITALY - APR 30, 2017
