Pours dark brown, almost black with red highlights when you hold it up to the light. Clear with average carbonation. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate and dark roasted malt. Taste follows this with strong coffee taste and high bitterness, dark chocolate and some caramel also present. Big on roasted flavours. Dry and very rich.

Cask at the Robin Hood Beer Festival 2017. Pitch black with wee brown head. Strong aroma of roasted coffee, nuts and faint dry licorice. Slightly creamy texture. Strong cold coffee and bitter licorice at the start, followed by more and more bitter licorice. Finish is roasted coffee beans, with a mildly sweetish aftertaste of dark chocolate. Good porter.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2017 Tried at Euston Tap in keg. Nice dark colour almost black. Nice head with roast coffee coming through. The head hangs around which is great and the flavour is great, roast coffee with roasted malt too.

jaghana (6230) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle shared @Freiburg testing. A dark beer with medium head, nose is intense on dark chocolate. Aroma is on dark coffee and roasted malt, cereals, burnt caramel, floral touch, touch of yeast. Texture is mostly thin and the nose suggested something smooth. Correct

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2017 Bottle in Düsseldorf craft beer festival. Black with tan foam. Aromas and taste of chocolate and coffee. Sweet with low carbonation, light creamy, nice aftertaste. Totally worth a try.
