Bottle from Amathus, Soho. Roasted vegetable aroma. Dark - cola brown in the light. Off white head starts off frothy before ebbing away. Light-medium bitter with a sweet and sour edge, particularly in the finish. Malts too. Light bodied. Thin, some vestiges of slickness. Light fizzy carbonation. Long but unintrusive finish. Too sweet and sour for my personal tastes. Otherwise pretty lightweight.

A bit of burnt malt and metal in the fragrance. Black with a small brown foam. The taste is dominated by burnt malt, slightly burnt crust of bread. Light body, medium carbonization.

Mørk øl med pænt skum. Lidt bitterhed i smagen og en humlet duft. Lidt mere smag end en almindelig pilsner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 Larnaka 23/7 2017. 33 cl bottle from Metro. Very Black and white label ensuring I understand that this is a Novelty: a dark beer. Pours bubbly dark brown with off-white head. Settles as thin lonely Island of foam. No Lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, chlorine and quite metallic. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is very sweet. Almost no bitterness present. Aftertaste is sweet caramel. I miss a little bitter edge - but a nice diversion from the endless amount of pale Lagers ruling Cyprus.

rumore (647) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 12, 2017
From 33cl bottle at To Steki, Bologna, Italy. Pours completely black with evanescent white foam. Aroma is mostly licorice and roasted, some caramel. Body is average with intense carbonation filing your mouth. Taste has some sweetness, and moderate bitterness, also traceable to the roasted malt. Finish is short and clean apparently, but some residual bitterness stays around pleasantly.

MarcoBasile (451) - DENMARK - JUN 16, 2017
Pours a deep brown color that looks totally black in the glass. A big frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasty malts and the slightest bit of coffee. Taste is decently roasty and coffee. Roasty malty sweetness in the finish. Watery to oily texture, soft carbonation. Not a bad black lager.

adamnowek (3067) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 28, 2017
Jet black and a spotty beige head. Aroma is burnt toast. Taste is toasted malt, toffee, and a hint of raspberry.
