BB 24.11.2016. Poured a crystal clear amber with a fast disappearing white collar that didnt lace. Carbonation moderate to high and fine to coarse. Aroma slightly of malt; no obvious hops. Taste malty with no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth, crisp if cold with a malty finish.

From a bottle. Pours clear pale yellow gold with a fizzy white head. Smells like cracker, corn, bready, light biscuit, straw, and grass. Tastes like cracker, corn, bready, light biscuit, straw, and grass. Light body and low carbonation.

One of the better common World beers. The head was no doubt a result of forming agents. Aroma is what grain. Flavor is some malt and wet grain, carbonic Tang, sweet with a little bitter. Not much sign of hops. Body is ok. Guess it would do in a... Fix. Sorry couldnt resist.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2017 Bottle 33cl. as Fix 1864 Spezial, poured into a lager glass, from local AB supermarket, Nafplio. Clear pale to medium amber, small foamy white to off-white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing; aroma sweet malts, grain, caramel, light cereals; taste light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, malty, caramel, grainy; becomes slightly more sweetbitter in the aftertaste; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation; decent Vienna-style beer. Rated 11/10/16. By the way: this one is completely different from its American namesake.
Bottle 33cl. (from Grieksewijnen.com), as Fix Hellas. Clear medium golden, small fizzy white head, sizzles down quickly, no lacing; light sweet malty nose, grain, straw, vegetables; taste light sweet, slightly bitter; light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, afteaste light dry bittersweet; middle-of-the-road lager. Rating: 7/16/2015 2.4.
Combining Fix Hellas and Fix 1864 Spezial as the same beer is a strange thing, imo two rather different beers.
