My understanding is that this is straight up a Stone & Wood brand, not a contract brew. Cloudy tan. Big hop aroma of orangey, pithy, c hop character. Moderate bitterness, orangey flavour notes, with a touch of yeast. Nice, balanced old school ipa. vanvenlo (1917) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - FEB 7, 2016

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2016 Fruit hop herbal aroma. Poor head and lacing. Citrus hop fruit malt flavour. Smooth lingering palate. Samma (178) - Fitzroy, AUSTRALIA - FEB 3, 2016
On tap at Gertrude Hotel, Fitzroy. Big stonefruit nose. Golden, almost amber in colour. Surprisingly robust malt bill, with caramel notes. But this is all about the hops. They are punchy but not overwhelming. Multi-faceted rather than singular. Well worth revisiting. probably best new Aussie IPA (along with Pirate Life) of past year. Draught @ Beer Deluxe, Melbourne.
Pale copper body, white head.
Lovely hop-driven aroma - ripe tropical fruit notes of rockmelon, paw paw & passionfruit, pale caramel malt beneath.
Medium-full body, moderate carbonation, sticky resiny texture.
Delivers the goods on the body - nice bit of caramel & toasty malt, big notes of citrus, passionfruit & honeydew melon, moderate bitterness leaves me wanting another sip.
Taster didn’t last long-by the dead it was good!
