There is a hint of coffee in the aroma which is not very strong. The head is think, but not abundant. It has a dark brown color with a tinge of red through the light. Fairly favorable. A decent porter.
Black pour with dark ruby highlights and a small beige head with decent retention. Spotty lacing. Nice roasted malt flavor with some licorice mixed in. Smooth and lightly creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Take away the licorice flavor and it would be better. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 3, 2017

Pours dark brown with very thin lacing. Aroma is rich caramel chocolate, slightly earthy. Medium sweet taste. Roasted malts dominate the taste with the same earthy raw flavor. Overall good aroma and flavor.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Dark pour, thin with no head to speak off. Intense flavor for such a thin and low alcohol beer, chocolate malts mostly with mild hops. Best drunk at room temp. Great story on it as well.
