Pours like it should. Nose is citrus, spice and no banana. Flavor is spice, citrus, no banana or fruitiness that stands out and finishes with somewhat of a metallic flavor. Light body. Moderately heavy carbonation. This wasn’t the best example of a hefe. loekey05 (3) - - JUL 17, 2013 does not count

Draft on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice straw yellow hue, firm haziness, dulled glow and body but still light. A cakey bright white head is a firm layer, sustains, sticks around and laces ok. Aromas are lemony elements, rind, a bit of apple and banana. Decent estery fruit meets bready malt, flaked wheat, a touch of straw. Gentle spice, faint clove. More lemony citrus feel. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, distinct clove and lemongrass up front tapers into lemon rind, some banana, apple. Dry and lemony life hits the palate, earthy grass and a bit of floral, mellow spice. Touches of fruit, distinct spiciness into the middle meets bready malt, flaked wheat, some straw. Gentle lemongrass, odd herbal feel in there. Backend is a bit fruity, back to firmly dry lemongrass, rind, and dryness. Herbal, almost dill feel at times. Weird beer. Like the lemon and lemongrass slant over the traditional estery banana. Just different though. Patrickctenchi (6664) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 17, 2013

Draft. Cloudy dark yellow body. Pillowy white head. Aroma of clove, banana and nail polish remover. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Lots of bitterness instead of classic tartness. But there is an underlying taste of nail polish remover. Thin to medium body, watery texture turning sticky. Lively carbonation. Couldn’t finish it because of the off taste. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - OCT 7, 2011
