When Fall rolls around, so does Jack. Provided he stays away from marauding trick-or-treaters, this bright orange gourd-like squash from the genus curcubita (Thanks Wikipedia!) finds his way into the mash of this Flat12 seasonal pale ale. A special blend of Indian(a) spices and pumpkin shine through just enough to complement this slightly sweet and malty tribute to the season of hayrides and bonfires. Flat out fantastic.

12 oz. bottle part of my Fall trade with queenholly. Clear yellow pour with lasting fizzy white bottles, well carbonated. Nose is ginger, roasted pumpkin seeds and some odd spice that isnt the normal. Flavor is ginger, pale malt and lightly bitter floral hop flavor. Secondary flavor of dried leaves. Hard to find the pumpkin in this bottle. Light body with a spritzy carbonation. Its more like an spiced Golden ale or maybe a spiced lager. Really not what I was expecting but not in a bad way. Different take on the fall seasonal.

Bottle: Pours clear, orange/brass/gold with a minimal soapy head. Nose is pumpkin, nutmeg. Taste is slightly metallic, pumpkin filling. Herbal hop bittering, pumpkin rind. Very natural.

Exactly everything i hate in a pumpkin beer. Sweet, heavy, and overly spiced. Barely drinkable. Smells OK, I guess.

Aroma is pumpkin, spices and cinnamon. The flavor is spices, cinnamon, pumpkins, citrus, very mild vegetables and a tart/tangy/bitter finish.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of almost all foam bright white colored bubbles that were and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty and pumpkin. The mild citrus mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish herbal aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of pumpkin mild hops fruity and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Draft pour at the source. Aroma has an interesting anise and spicy profile. No bready crusty profile to balance things out. If I were a bigger fan of anise, I would like this beer better. Oh well. Its an alright beer regardless.

Thanks, Chris! Served in a mug. Pours a clear light golden. Huge head. So much so that we thought it might have been infected, but alas, its just overcarbonated. Nose is a spice bomb with lots of cinnamon and backing pumpkin spice. Flavor is similar to apple jacks and way overspiced. Not a fan at all.

Couple of pints on tap. Clear orange with a film of bubbles. Aroma of squash, caramel and some earthy spices. Tastes of the same with some resin, light pepper and wheat toast. Light-medium body is balanced and has smooth, medium carbonation. Like the subtlety of the spices that lets the pumpkin come through.

Rated on 10-28-2014 (Bottle) This beer pours a huge foamy head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, fast rising, very little carbonation, and a good amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is pumpkin, sweet and malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, sweet, pumpkin, and spice. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer has a good dose of pumpkin. A bit too much for my liking and I like pumpkin. It also has a light lingering pumpkin aftertaste.

taster @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber, rim head and tiny dots of lace. Taste is light malt peppered with pumpkin spices. No real bittering at the end; the spices just drift away. Somewhat interesting, but lacks complexity and balance.
