COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Half Cycle is so named due to its marriage of single and double IPA characteristics. In baseball parlance, a single and double is half of “the cycle”, and this IPA is a heavy hitter. It’s a single IPA, hopped like a double, with an over-the-top hop character that’s a bit spicy, citrusy, piney, you make the call. Light in color, but not on flavor, this big boy is dry hopped with a pound of high alpha American hops in every barrel. ABV: 6% IBU: 104.1

Poured into a shaker from a 12 oz bottle. A clear orange yellow in the glass with a moderately persistent white, 2 cm head. The aroma is resinous, spicy, more piney than citrusy. The taste is a balanced, multidimensional bitterness backed by just enough sweetness to create a medium body. I’ll have another, thanks.

Canned October 3rd. Pours a hazy straw gold with plenty of foam. Above average lacing. Pine and grapefruit dominate the smell; degree of dankness pretty high. Pine and grapefruit clearly in the taste. Dank tropical fruit permeates. Very very bitter. No malt that I can discern. Like in a triple IPA. Onions? Yep. Good mouthfeel. A bit over the top for me regarding the bitterness level but I am glad that I got to try it.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with medium off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, grass, grapefruit, nice bitter finish, very good.

can. Golden with one finger head. Fairly light body with a huge bitter kick from the hops. It’s not entirely my taste in IPAs, but based on the description text on the can, they hit what they were shooting for. a definite hop bomb.

Bottle - good size foamy head, dark straw color with lots of "floaties", big pine and citrus hop aroma and flavor, moderate biscuity backbone, mildly dank finish, pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 7, 2016 Not impressed at all. This is nothing but a bottle of bitter. It starts with an almost earthy, grasslike taste. Like something you shouldn’t eat. Lol. Then it just buries you in bitterness. UPDATE: Have to say, after having this another day, without having a different brew beforehand, I’m much happier with this. Still has earthy tones but the bitter doesn’t overwhelm. Not a bad beer.

Lätt beslöjad orange öl med vitt skum. Doft av citrus, främst röd grapefrukt, och tallbarr. I smaken så tar en kraftig grapefruktbeska över lite för mycket för min smak.

Copper poir, slight head. Slight pine, resin, and bitterness. Medium body. Average ipa
