3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy almost greenish yellow golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is banana, cloves, kiwi and light lemony citrus, and grass. The flavor opens mildly tart, kiwi, light banana, grassy, pale malts; very easy drinking and the kiwi and light citrus come through clean.
Growler: The aroma consists of banana, clove, and a touch of lemon. It pours a transparent yellow with a small white head and a good amount of dotted lacing. The flavor starts with citrus and a touch of banana. The finish has some light-moderate tart lemon and kiwi. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, not much of a hefe...almost Berliner-like. Tmoney99 (15040) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Poured clear pale color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate banana, clove and fruit aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a solid sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Good refreshing brew b3shine (9208) - Indiana, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Growler to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks decent; yellow and hazy with thin lacing. Tastes good; I prefer the kiwi to the banana. Mouthful is average. A good hefe! TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 8, 2012
Draft on tap at the brewery tasting room (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a richly hazed dulled straw yellow hue. Touches of richer dulled champagne hue elements with a big frothy cakey bright white head atop. Firm layer laces well and sticks around pretty good. Aromas are flaked wheat, distinct kiwi fruit and lemons, citrusy hops and dryness.. A touch dank. A touch of doughy malt, straw, and cereal grains. Touch of tartness, banana and pear esters mix with the citrusy lemon and kiwi element. Nice and refreshing. Initial is sweeter end of the fold, giving a lighter feel on the palate with a firm kiwi fruit element. Tart and fruity with some lemon elements, flaked wheat. Pear, fresh apples, and grainy malts. A touch cereal, bready, straw. Creamy fruity sweetness through the middle with really nice kiwi, citrus, tart flavors. That kiwi really stays on this one. Finish is mellow sweetness, touches of dry grains, and lingering kiwi, lemon, and gentle estery fruit. A firm bitter hopping dries it out more and lingers on. This certainly is a good summer beer. Fresh and vibrant flavors. The New Zealand hops give the bitterness, touches of white grape and kiwi, and the gentle dose of Citra gives some life and flavors. Great experiment here.

Tap. Banana/kiwi, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet-tart lemon and wheat malt flavor. Hint of kiwi aftertaste. Tarter than the average Hefe but kick ass. A great beer.
