Most milk stouts I’ve had go for a really smooth drinking experience, this one was just way too harsh on the burnt toast flavor. It lingers forever too, I finished one like 10 minutes ago and still feel like I ate something heavily charred.
draft poured dark brown with off white head. roasted malts chocolate coffee are the main scents on the nose. flavor was a little rough. doesn’t really seem to be very even. there was a weird bitterness to it. not sure if from the malts or the coffee just seemed out of place. yet it was creamy enough. overall could be better GTAEgeek (2502) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2016
12 oz. can from Joe. Pours black, with a small, tan ring. The nose is strong coffee, milk chocolate, and caraway seeds. Sweet and malty, with a harsh bitterness that lingers. Medium body, astringent, sticky, and harsh. This is a hard and harsh stout. knickskicks (1168) - - JUN 23, 2016
Dark brown pour, off-white/tan head. Nose is dark malts, roasty. Taste us roasty with light chocolate and light bitter baker’s chocolate to the finish. tnkw01 (1854) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2016
Bottle. Dark brown with an explosive, long lasting head. Nice lace. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Taste is slightly, malty sweet upfront with coffee and chocolate in the middle and a slight hoppy finish. snoot8726 (110) - Terre Haute, Indiana, USA - JAN 26, 2016
Bottle. Pours a dark brown to black with an off white head. Lactose and sugar on the nose. Hint of chocolate coffee and milk in the taste with creamy roastiness. Palate a little thin even for the style IMO. Not bad at all but it’s missing something I can’t quite put my finger on.

Bottle. Pours black, medium brown head. Aroma primarily of milk chocolate and coffee, mild overall. Taste is medium-high sweetness. Full body, creamy texture, roasty finish, with a hint of bitterness. Overall a decent sweet stout. arn8897 (455) - Trenton, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2015
Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Taste the same. With some sweetness. Nice lacing in the glass. Palate is medium. Pretty nice beer overall. Chudwick (3426) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - FEB 10, 2015
Bottle to glass - nose is roast and sweet chocolate. Sip adds coffee and a complex bitterness. Decent sweetness. A little flat. Short finish. nearbeer (5665) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 18, 2015
12 oz. pours jet black with creamy islands of cappuccino foam on top. Aroma of espresso and cream with a touch of ozone. Flavor is dark chocolate and too much sourish lactose. Some dark toast on the finish just rescues this one from the almost-sickening sweet and sour milkiness. Medium body is soft with a pleasant medium level of carbonation. A little sticky, but some balance is provided by a light astringency. Aptly named. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2015
Dry finish. Coffee and cocoa flavor. Delicious. Black pour as a sampler at flat 12. Really good
