Bottle. Creamy vanilla caramel malt and straw aroma - does smell like cream soda. Hazy amber with huge light tan head. Slightly sweet woody caramel malt and moderately bitter herbal flavor. Pretty good. Patrickctenchi (6732) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 7, 2015
Slightly hazy, dark amber with a giagantic, slow dissolving light tan head.
Vanilla, woody caramel aroma.
Taste is creamy, caramel malt, vanilla.
A light bourbon dryness.......but not much bourbon flavour...only a hint.
Dry, earthy bittering....
Pretty good...a bit weak...and the never-ending giant head is really aggravating. tykechandler (343) - Kentucky, USA - FEB 1, 2015

Pours a very hazy red brown. Very over carbonated. Huge rocky off-white head. Only aroma I can pick up is vanilla. Tastes like malt, vanilla, caramel and a sort of dirty bourbon. rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - DEC 4, 2014
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear dark amber, heavy off-white rim head, spots of lace. Taste is malt with sweet vanilla that grows nicely as it moves through the palate. It becomes bitter on the swallow, but, then has a vanilla malt rebound in the finish. Small doses only, but it is a good brew. JoePeesie (924) - Long Lake, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Pours a reddish brown with moderate carb. Nose and taste are of a subdued typical red. Barrel is not very noticeable. Drinkable but not memorable. nearbeer (5608) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Pint on tap. Mostly clear copper-brown with a small disc of foam. Aroma is vanilla toffee. Flavors of dark bread, roasted pecan and vanilla toffee. Finish is big with vanilla. Nice toasted oak in the long finish along with some whiskey. Light-medium body is sweetish, but has a decent balance and a mostly smooth carbonation. Very nice job of barreling and vanilling(?) to maximize the potential of the so-so beer underneath without overwhelming it. drfabulous (8591) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 14, 2014
12 ounce bottle thanks to Nolen. Big hoppy red like ale with some fruity notes. Light vanilla in the end from the barrel. Decent.
