Dark brown color with a tan head. Roasted malt in the nose, caramel malts, little to no hops noticed. Lively carbonation, rich flavor, easy to drink. Drank my weight in these at the hotel bar over a week. Good stuff arminjewell (9635) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, roast, some ash, hints of red fruit, hints of nutty notes and hazelnuts. Taste is mix of cocoa, coffee, nice nutty notes, hints of vanilla, almond, finishing fairly sweet, roasted, slightly bitter. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle @ Greg’s dump. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a tan head. A touch smoky, burnt malty, chocolate, lightly nutty aroma. Pretty good carbonation. Balanced flavor. Dark chocolate, earthy hoppy flavor. Pretty good. David46 (14) - St Matthews, Kentucky, USA - JUN 13, 2014
An excellent porter with lots going on. A mouthful of flavors with coffee and chocolate notes strongest. The dark ale has a beautiful chocolate colored head. I love stout and this comes very close in taste. degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 10, 2014
Bottle. Pours a lovely brown with ruby highlights and a high, solid, fine-grained light brown head. Nose is coffee, beef stock, sage, savory, rosemary, and a touch of baking chocolate -- very nice. Very very solid on the tongue; firm, not at all sweet, and clean, with strong roasty flavors leading the way followed by sage and mint. Coffee closes it up. Finish is long, dry, clean, and substantial. This is just a very, very good porter; nothing fancy, no additives, no fripperies. Bravo.

Rated on 4-09-2011 at Flat 12. This draft beer has a small tan head with a long retention, opaque dark brown body, and a good amount of lacing. The aroma consist of malt, roasty, chocolate, and earthy. The taste is roasty, chocolate, malt, and lightly roasted. The mouthfeel is very smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is a very, very quaffable porter as the flavors come together very well. It is worth trying and a beer I would enjoy drinking again.
