Bottle to taster. Looks good; cola with fluffy light beige head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, chocolate, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A solid porter. StefanSD (2468) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - AUG 31, 2013
12 oz bottle courtesy of St Fun. Thanks. Pours an opaque black color with a small beige head that has decent retention. The aroma features well roasted barley, coffee and chocolate. The taste is more roasted barley, coffee, unsweetened baking chocolate and bitter walnuts. The palate was a bit uneven starting thin but then build into a pasty-sticky mouthfeel and the carbonation is soft. Finishes long and dry. Overall: decent porter, notable for the chocolates lack of sweetness-I liked that. SpringsLicker (3685) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Black pour with a tan head.
Aroma of bittersweet chocolate and espresso.
The flavor is chocolate and coffee with a bitter finish. A bit chalky. Smooth.
Medium body. Finhead (1845) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Very dark brown with crimson highlights and a frothy, tan head. The aroma has light, roasted coffee and dark chocolate. It has a medium body with slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet to start and then melts to a roasted, dry finish.

12 ounce bottle bought in Indianapolis. A big tan head takes a long time to subside. The aroma has plenty of chocolates and some roasted coffee notes. Less of both in the flavor but there are roasted flavors. Brown sugar and molasses with floral notes. Cocoa. A bit of bright hop flavors that grow at the finish making it a black IPA almost. It is fairly bitter at the finish. A creamy feel is nice. This is a solid beer. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2013
12oz bottle from StFun poured into a shaker. Pours almost black with a slight ruby hue and a huge nut brown head. Aroma of coffee and a little dark chocolate. Taste is light bitter. Milk and dark chocolate and strong espresso on the finish. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, great. This would nake an awesome everyday drinker. Pours dark brown with a massive head. Smells of roasted coffee and quite a bit of earthiness. Tastes the same with bitterness and tiny sweetness on the end. Very thin. Meh

Chattanooga, Tn. - Riverside Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Dark brown pour, slight khaki colored head that leaves a light film of lacing. Aroma has some creosote notes, some baker’s chocolate, a touch of black coffee. Flavor is bold and robust with some light molasses, a nice dollop of unsweetened chocolate. a bit of espresso. Mouthfeel has a nice chalkiness to it. Very pleasantly surprised after looking at the silly label. AirForceHops (8026) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 3, 2013
12 oz. bottle courtesy of queenholly. Color is deep brown, borderline black. Nice head retention that left foam after the beer was complete. Nose is real deep molasses, in fact layers of molasses, also chocolate and traces of wood. Flavor is in reverse order with chocolate up front then getting molasses and Earthy, burnt coffee. Texture is dry and roasted. Whoa, thanks for this bottle Rebekah! This is no doubt a fresh bottle. Well above average porter. Real easy to chug down!
