Our Brown is a British Style brown. It has a roasted nutty flavor complimented by a great malt sweetness.

Draught: This pours a fairly clear brown color. There is a bit of a rapidly dying tan head. Not too much lacing. The aroma is somewhat sweet, with a hint of nutiness. Maybe some fruits, but very subdued. The taste is malty sweet and nutty. A hint of roastiness to it. The aftertaste is a bit dry also.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a deep brown with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malts. Flavor is nutty and a little sweet with a slightly bitter finish.

Tap at restaurant. Poured a very dark color with a small white head. Aroma was nutty, caramel, bread, and some dough aroma. Flavor was nutty, with some smoke. Medium body. Good beer.

I love this beer, its great in its simplicity. A solid brown ale that verges on being a nut brown. Has a great nutty and sweet toffee and caramel nose, with a bit of chocolate on the palate. Not too heavy, with a nice balance of flavors and a bit of bitterness comthing through in the finish.

On tap at brewery. Clear medium brown. Very light aroma, malt. Taste is slightly sweet malt with some roast. Not much else. Medium, slightly carbonated mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub: It pours a dark brownish muddy water color with tiny head that gives way to a ring quickly. The flavor was strong of roasted malts in my opinion, nutty, caramel, and toffee.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2003 Deep clear brown in color, has a small off-white head, nice fruity, nutty malty aroma. Mild nutty and sweet malty flavor, has a nice crisp hop bite in the finish. Somewhat of a watery and thin mouthfeel, not bad and pretty much average for the style.

This was a decent brown ale. Slightly nutty roasty malt flavors. Nothing bold really shined through on this drink. Just average.

Nice brown. Decent caramel malt flavor. My first Flat Branch beer. Impressed so far. Delicious.

Solid. Molasses, brown sugar and nice carbonation. Fruity with toffee notes. Spicy, burgandy dark and not chalky. Lacks aroma but overall my favorite from this brewer.
