Draught: This pours a fairly clear brown color. There is a bit of a rapidly dying tan head. Not too much lacing. The aroma is somewhat sweet, with a hint of nutiness. Maybe some fruits, but very subdued. The taste is malty sweet and nutty. A hint of roastiness to it. The aftertaste is a bit dry also. gregwilsonstl (2704) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Brown color. Somewhat sweet. Nutty like pecan. Another refreshing brew from flat branch. MaxPower (961) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 11, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2003 Deep clear brown in color, has a small off-white head, nice fruity, nutty malty aroma. Mild nutty and sweet malty flavor, has a nice crisp hop bite in the finish. Somewhat of a watery and thin mouthfeel, not bad and pretty much average for the style.

On draft at the source. The beer is chestnut brown with a thin, light beige collar. The aroma offers some sweet, fruity notes atop a light malt bill. The flavor is decent, albeit a bit to sweet. A bit more bread and malt character would serve this beer well. Decent beer, and easy enough to get through a pint, but this could stand a few improvements. keith0718 (434) - Kansas, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Nice brown. Decent caramel malt flavor. My first Flat Branch beer. Impressed so far. Delicious.

Very brown, with a ruby tint. Mild chocolat and roast aromas. Dry, chalky on the palate, with some chocolate, and maybe some spices, like cinnamon. Also a molasses component? A little on the thin side. Burrobuns (83) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - APR 27, 2007
Nice dark color with very thin head and almost oily looking once the head fades. Taste had the raisin flavor that is used in a lot of the dark/sweeter flat branch beer (one that I do not enjoy). Tasted malt and a little toffee flavor too, but no real nutty flavor. I was disappointed, but still a decent beer. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - APR 2, 2009
