The Dunkel Weizen is our Hefeweizen with three colored malts added to give the brew its brownish color with a hint of caramel and roasted flavors. European Tettnang hops provide a slight bitterness and add some hop flavor. A true hefeweizen yeast strain contributes the clove and bubble gum flavors associated with the style.

It poured a hazy orange/brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of bread, nutty notes and a bit of spice. The taste was of banana, clove, bread and a spicy finish. Good stuff.

Tap at the restaurant. Poured a light brown color with a smaller head that went rather quick. Aroma was bread, hay and cereal. Flavor was light with caramel, wheats, and toasty flavors. Very drinkable.

tap at brewpub-pours cloudy deep brown with a small fizzy tan head. nose is nice-smokey, light chocolate, banana esters, and lightly grainy. tart banana, chocllate, light toasted grains, and vanilla are the flavors here-very true to style and tasty. body is less-carbonated than many of this style. pretty straight forward with some good qualities. i dig!
