Aroma: Cereal and herb notes. Slightly metallic.
djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 25, 2014
Appearance: Completely clear, light golden body with a fluffy white head that steadily fades. Average carbonation. No lacing.
Taste: Clean tasting pilsener with a nice, bitter finish. Light cereal, earthy and muted nutty flavours.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation fizz.
Overall: Simple, light and moreish. For me, it’s hard to get too excited about a pilsener, but this is a good example of the style.

Bottle pours a pale straw-gold-golden clear body with a fine white head, few fields as lacing.
Scents of malts, sweet caramel with a little toffee touch, grassy fruity hops, bread, pilsener wort, strawy notes as well.
Soft fine taste; grassy fruity hops, caramel malts, bread, wort, a little toffee touch. Normal on palate, maybe a little more carbonation would’ve helped. Hoppy grassy caramelly finish, average lasting. Nice czech svetly pilsener, a desitka I assume. "Top-notch light czech pilsener" label says. Not far from top-notch at least.
[Ingredients; Bojos & Malz barleys, Sladek, Premiant & Saaz hops (all 3 in the Saaz/Zatec family), barley & wheat malts. Brewed at (Pivovar Žatec!) Zizkovo Namesti 81, CZ-43801 Žatec (Saaz). 50cl brown bottle 4%abv, BB05.02.15, [email protected]

Bottle picked up from Sourced St. Pancras, drank at a picnic in a Paris park with Lyoli on a sunny Sunday afternoon in September. Pours clear gold with a small, frothy white foam head. Moderate grain in the nose, some cereal, toasty hay. Light sweet flavor, toasty cereal again, faint grass, toasty bitter straw. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish, some bitter and grassy hay, light toasted bread, cereal and grainy malts. A touch too bitter, maybe, but generally alright. undercurrent25 (2142) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2015
Pours a pale colour. Floral aroma. Crisp and dry taste. Classic Czech Pilsener McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 22, 2012
Stern, neatly carbonated subtle yellow body with a consistent ring head and a stale air freshener nose. Initially fresh mulch of a Pilsner, trickles of leftfield Hops and the Barley sandwiches in on the finish. A little too much of a squeeze, akin to an overly wattery bag of lettuce that takes away any decent linger. A nice effort but far from blowing the tastbuds away and not near refreshing enough for a cheeky Pilsner - especially at 4%. (Bottle, Vino, Edinburgh)

bottle from Darts Farm Topsham. Clear golden yellow with a creamy white head. Hoppy nose. Malty with a shy fruity touch and good Saaz hop flavours, lingering bitter-sweet finish. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 8, 2013
[500ml bottle, Vino Comiston, Edinburgh] Looks the part in the glass - brilliantly golden and with a tight, puffy head. Rising carbonation streams upwards, untroubled. Clean, soft, grassy on the nose, slightly musty in that sometimes-Czech way. Tastewise, it starts well, with some lightly toasted cereal malt and dry hay. Although it fades somewhat into that slightly metallic place some conti-lagers go to, it’s not too bad - it shares that softness Žatec has (unsurprisingly), and although it could be crisper, that trade-off is, on balance, just about worth it Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle from Vino. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. richc (239) - Bolton, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Fairly classic pilsner aroma with gentle malt and a moderate spicy hop. Flavour follows aroma, pleasant but nothing outstanding zacgillbanks (5180) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2013
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Golden coloured with malty and toffee flavours with slight bitterness and a sweet fruity finish.
