Flat Earth Pale Ale is a Belgian pale ale. Inspired by beers like Orval and Rare Vos. Made with imported Belgian malt and a Belgian yeast strain. Our Belgian pale ale has a sweet malt aroma with traces of orange, plum and pear. Its complex malt backbone of biscuit and hints of toast to compliment the spiciness of the yeast. We hope you enjoy the fresh "Belgian" beer.

22 oz. bottle purchased 3 days ago, and poured into a Belgian snifter. Appearance: Amber-orange hue with a huge, foamy, durable off-white head. Gobs of lacing, but the bottle foamed over after opening, and again after pouring about 10 oz. of beer. Aroma: Yeasty with suggestions of banana and bubblegum. These clash with some earthy/spicy hops. Flavor: more sour than expected which, together with the over-flowing bottle lead me to suspect some contamination. Mouthfeel: near medium body; high carbonation. O: perhaps a bad bottle and worthy of a re-test, but not so bad that I can conclude this with confidence.

Poured from bottle. Pours an orange/copper hue with a thin white head. Aroma of sour apple, malt sweetness, some spice. Taste of banana, biscuit, citrus/sour, orange zest. The sour taste is overpowering throughout is very surprising which makes me think something is wrong with this beer. Don't really taste the hops. Comes out a little bit on the finish. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Red copper small white head with nice lacing. Some malt aroma. Medium body with malt sweetness, caramel notes, and a bitter hop finish. Didn’t notice much Belgian characteristics.

Slightly hazy Orange with a soapy head. Has some sweet caramel and bubblegum notes back up by cloves, bananas and peppers. Pretty easy to drink and good beer overall.

Sample pour. Just what you’d expect from a Belgian ale. Yeasty and oranges.

Much more bitter than I expected (and not in the classic IPA way). I was really hoping for something more along the Belgian sweetness meets IPA.

Pours a clear orange with thin white head. Not over carbonated, a rarity for flat earth. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Flavor simple and crisp.

Great beer the aromas are sweet with wisps of caramel and bread. Very pleasant aromas to a nice drinking beer. Amber in color, pours with a medium head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. Medium sweetness from the malt, almost no bitterness and zero sour taste but almost salty. Light body with a thin texture average to lively carbonation. Short finish. This is an easy drinking beer great taste, aroma and overall drink-ability.

Bottle from a trade with CLevar. Pours hazy dark burnt orange color with off white head. Fruity, Belgian yeast aroma with some caramel. Sweet fruity and doughy flavors with bubble gum and minimal hop bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Caleb.

Date: September 15, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: 8th Street Grill, Minneapolis Appearance: Translucent golden with good amount of head and lacing. Aroma: Belgian spice and malt. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, medium bodied, and slight carbonation. Other: Easy to drink, but not very memorable.
