3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours almost black with a quickly dissolving head. Strong coffee and chocolate aromas. Surprisingly thin and a bit too carbonated. Good overall but needs more complexity and body to be a great stout.
Can; pours dark brown with a thin mocha colored head; aroma of coffee and roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and oats; taste is slightly more sweet than bitter with coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt with a touch of oats; finish has light bitterness with some lingering roasted coffee; decent enough jackl (8555) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2017
Keg @ Flat Earth. Deepvrown pour with a small head. Nose suggests nutella, fudge. Modest earthy charred grain and coffee. Flavor falls on the sweeter end of the spectrum. Milk chocolate and some espresso on the finish. Very strong carb detracts from the experience, but overall, this is a solid, no frills stout. CH-303 (2407) - Fribourg, SWITZERLAND - SEP 16, 2015

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a day brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma is full of roasted malts with dark grains, roasted malts and a hint of chocolate backing. Flavor combines dark grains, roasted malts and coffee but is a touch thin.

Huge coffee nose, more coffee on palate along with some roasted malt and chocolate. Was kinda thin on finish. barn0216 (551) - California, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Bottle. Pitch black with some tan foam that disappears quickly. Roasty aroma, chocolate. Very similar flavor with added creaminess. Solid for such a low ABV. fiveacestx (977) - Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Bottle that had been cellared almost a year - jet black with almost no head. Strong black coffee taste but a low grade for the palate. Seemed too thin and had a taste on the back end (lemon?) that just didn’t belong in a stout. It was OK but I’ve had much better. StefanSD (2468) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - APR 5, 2013
650ml bottle courtesy of kbutler. Thanks. Pours a dense black color with a small tan head that slowly recedes to a film. The aroma is strong with coffee, coffee grounds and a bit of dark chocolate. The taste is dominated by the coffee, with walnuts, chocolates and mocha playing effective supporting roles. The palate is silky smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering coffee. Overall: A fine coffee stout. good stuff. mnmike (1091) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Strong coffee stout here that represents the local Dunn Bros. Slightly less acidy than other coffee stouts.
