Bottle 65 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a smallish, rough, off-white head. Malty, caramellish aroma - with a tart, fruity note. Medium body, caramel and fruit - but again this tartness indicating a lactic infection. Not so pleasant. 081114 Aboe (1) - , Minnesota, USA - MAY 31, 2014 does not count
Try this brew again. The 2014 has upped its ante from the 2013. The malty sweetness combined with grassy earthiness makes this my favorite seasonal from Flat Earth. The aroma and color are fresh and crisp. Finish is clean and doesnt linger, which is what you want worh a french ale. Drink with summer classics like caprese salad or zucchini pasta.

Pour on tap at APN 2013, reddish orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some odd spices, hints of grain, slight red fruit notes in there, slight toasted malts, hints of earth. Taste is a mix of big spice, grass, grainy notes into some caramel, toffee, slight earth, finishing fairly bitter, dry.
