>> Blacker pour than expected for abv, okay foam. Nose is tootsie roll, earthy, strong roast. Taste is bitter, balanced, mild char, medium tootsie roll. Pretty enjoyable.

Dark color, light brown head, coffee, chocolate smell, the taste s coca beans, coffee beans, bitter chocolate tasted on the swallow, not much sweetness which is a MAJOR downfall. The ABV needs to be around 8% to give it more of a sweet, malty tasted. It tastes unfinished. This one needs to go back to the drawing board and add more sweetness for sure.

22oz bomber purchased from Roth’s Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem. $4.79 Pours thick and viscous black with a half inch tan head. Great aromas of medium roast french coffee, dark chocolate and toasted malts very good. Smooth coffee and chocolate taste..Nice. MOuthfeel is creamy smooth from the oats low carbonation but it helps rather than hurts. Nice stout i could actually drink for breakfast!

Growler from Tin Bucket. Consumed Super Bowl Sunday; from notes. A: Dark black, thin ring of cappuccino head. N: Cocoa, black olive, char, espresso, hint of vanilla, earth, and wood overtones. T: Sweet and a little smokey and bitter. M: Medium, slick body, light carbonation, hidden alcohol. O: Other than the black olive, this is a pretty nice beer from Flat Tail. Big flavor and a nice mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2015 Would be very good in the morning, as implied, but it tastes just as great during this evening. Re-rating literally one year to the day from the first time I drank it. What are the odds? 1 in 365 I guess. I noticed a bit of yeast in the bottom of the bottle after I poured the brew out.
