On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours light amber with a thick off-white head and a sweet cherry aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor that is moderately sour and bready.
Bottle... Pours cloudy and golden with no head. The nose is earthy, perfumey and fruity - chilies, flora and apricot. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Both tart and lightly spicy - plenty of earthy habanero flavor, but not spicy-hot. Finishes tart and earthy. Lacking in chili warmth. The seeds must have been removed prior to adding the chilies to the beer. Not a slam. Just an observation. Nice beer. Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Light stone fruit aroma. Med body. Flavor is light apricot, earthy sox, some wood, and perhaps a hint of chili. It’s rather mild considering the name. Finishes towards horse blanket.
