Pours a gold/orange with a small white head. Tropical fruit and passionfruit slam your nose with a little bit of dankness to it as well. Very unique aroma. Flavor follows the nose closely. Wonderful passion fruit up front taste with a little bitterness coating the back of the tongue. Surprisingly smooth. A touch sticky and good carbonation levels. I’ve had Flat12 many times, but this was my first trip to their site. Very quality beer and this one went first of all the growlers I took to a party.

Bottled. Aroma of grapefruity hops and bubblegum. HUGE power punch of grapefruit hops in the flavor Aggressive bitterness but not too over the top. This has all the hop flavor of a Double IPA while still being somewhat balanced.

the bottle opens with a big whoosh as I lift the cap. A clear gold beer slowly assembles at the bottom of the glass as the tall, white head dissipates. The aroma is sweet and fruity, I’m almost smelling apple here. The flavor is bitter with good malt balance, but definitely on the bitter side.

12 ounce bottle bought in Indianapolis. Poured into a Spiegelau. A huge head requires considerable patience before it settles. This is hop centric and the malts are light making this a little thin. The hop is interesting. Citrusy and pine with some mango and spice. Moderately bitter. A bit of grapefruit that grows. A sweet finish. Tasty.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a hazy dark orange with a thin half finger white head. Hardly any head retention and just a few splotches of lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma is full of orange and tangerine along with some mango. Very strong tropical fruit and quite rich. There is a little biscuit underneath and some grass. Huge punch of tropical citrus in the flavor but there is a very strong toasty malt backbone. Bitterness is on the very high side which is nice considering the decent maltiness here. Bitterness and malt lingers through the finish with a full and somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a very nice APA that almost borders on IPA territory. Excellent hop/malt balance and quite drinkable too.

Great but different pale ale. Galaxy hops impart a bitter yet fruity flavor. Aroma is amazing. Great session beer.

bottle courtesy of tom10101, thanks bro. pours hazy golden with an abnormal white rocky head, good retention and lacing, big bubbles exploding everywhere. nice citrusy-spicy, hint of tropical notes in the aroma. spicy toasted malt - hint of sweetness, some graininess, pepper and earthiness, yeasty and soapy. very light acidic and metallic notes coming from bottling issue. abnormally prickly carbonation, light body, slightly harsh grapefruity medium long finish. DP.

On tap. Clear orange-amber with a lasting cover of cream. Smells of green herb, grapefruit, toast and honey. Tastes of green herb, grapefruit, toasted grain, honey and pine resin. Light-medium body is balanced and has a smooth, average carbonation level.

Coppery pale with a touch of foam. Smells very sticky, piney, with a touch of caramel. Taste is a big hop blast up front, with a solid malt backbone. As it warms, a really unfortunate buttery taste emerges.
