Light caramel and citrus, but mostly passion fruit in the aroma. Golden in color, it retained a thin head until the last drop. The taste is lightly sweet with a light bitter finish, and the palate is very creamy for a pale ale. Overall, this is a fantastic pale ale. Trying this beer reminded me of trying Zombie Dust the first time, when it was still named Cenotaph. The aroma really differentiates this ale from other pales, similarly to Zombie Dust. While Zombie Dust is extremely hopped for a pale, the palate is thin and the bitter finish can become a bit overwhelming if enjoying more than a couple of pints. Walkabout is balanced much better, and more easily enjoyed with its soft mouth feel. If Three Floyds brewed this, it would be an instant smash. However, if Flat 12 keeps brewing ales likes this, the rest of the country may have another Indiana brewery to envy. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2012
On tap at End of the Line, Indy. Another super-solid brew from Flat 12, proving they can do the esoteric as well as the basic with equal craft. Bright and inviting orange pour, with a sizable fluffy head. Nice idea to rock the single hop, as the nose is clean and uncomplicated. Dry and fruity in equal measure, the beer is flavorful and unpretentious, hitting the mark in the way this style should. ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Aroma of moderate floral/citrus hops with light caramel malts. Appearance is light copper with bone head. Flavor has a nice caramel/hop balance. Palate is creamy and lightly bubbly. Good. VRBJG (159) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 3, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2012 Pours yellow gold with a small white head. Smells of citrus. Tastes bright....maybe lemony.....with a hoppy finish. Gooood brew. JoePeesie (924) - Long Lake, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2012
Pours a nice orange with off white head. Nose and taste is big on the passionfruit. I like the fact that they avoided the temptation to over hop this. 40 IBU is great on this beer. Very nicely balance and easy drinking.

Small foamy white quickly diminishing head. Transparent orange softly carbonated body. Tingly start to finish happy aftertaste. No aroma to speak of. Crisp cascade hop flavor. Quaffable. shrubber85 (11762) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - FEB 11, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2017 Tap. Honey, passionfruit and malt aroma. Medium yellow color with small head. Moderately sweet honey, passionfruit, biscuit malt and moderately bitter lemon peel flavor. Nice. 574deadzone (1420) - North Central, Indiana, USA - FEB 6, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2012 On tap. Saw it was a single hop pale ale, so I tried to guess which hop. I was wrong, but that’s cool, always learning. Pours an orange-golden with a nice off-white head. Nose was big hops, slightly citrus but more just fruity. Taste was quite bitter, but with a little sweetness to balance. Palate was lighter to medium bodied with a longer finish. Really a nice pale ale, the hops were well featured. Glad this was on tap in my area. Jriggz7 (122) - Indiana, USA - DEC 27, 2011
Draught. Great discovery! First beer from flat 12 and experience with galaxy hop. Showcases the hop really well. Aroma tropical fruit. Taste the same with decent malt backbone and very little bitterness. Tmoney99 (15211) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 5, 2011
Draft sample. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate earthy hops and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.
