On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of lots of grapefruit and citrusy fruits, sweet malt. Flavor is super fruity with even more grapefruit, tangerine, mango. Some herbal floral notes. A very interesting pale, really more of an ipa. It is super fruity, wow!

Draft at 20 Tap in Indy. Wonderfully fruity bouquet. Clear, pale amber color. Very little head and left almost no lacing. Nice malt profile. Very well balanced pale ale. A solid beer all-around. Recommended. DalzAle (2040) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - OCT 27, 2011
Tap. Clear light orange pour, light head and a light dry hoppy aroma. Flavor is bright orange blossom, fresh hops, some lemon rind and finished with a good bitter bite. Nice surprise find I’d never heard of before today. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 2, 2011
tap - This brew smells mainly of pine rich hops. The flavor features moderate to strong hop bitterness with pine and herbal notes with a little citrus. Why did I get those characteristics more than the fruit everyone else reported? I have no idea. There’s also caramel malt for balance and a long bitter finish. It’s very good and is definitely on the high end of the bitterness scale for APAs. MmmcKay (1053) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - SEP 20, 2011
Wow this kind of took me by surprise. A lot of APAs are kind of the same these days. Well, this single hop pale is far from simple or boring. Pour is lovely. Good color with plenty of foam. Aroma immediately quaffs of pungent passion fruit. Big time. Hoppy fruity nose. Lil funk. Intense at first. Maybe too much for a pale. However, it really grew on me as I drank it. Seemed a bit thin on the palate at first, but the hops mellowed as it aired. Then the malt body evened out. Very very fresh as it should be. Very good.

On the hop handle at JK O’Donnell’s on 8-17-2011. Poured a very small tan head that fully lasted, fair amount of lacing, transparent, and a golden hue. The aroma is citrusy, passion fruit, sweet, hint of caramel, and sweet. The flavor mimicked the aroma along with some light bitterness, crisp, clean and the pale malts took a backseat. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is more hoppy tasting than a lot of the APA’s that I have tasted/rated which caught me by surprise. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Growler, thanks to theAlum, pours a deep golden red with white head. Nose has some sweet melon, juicy fruit, candy sugar, and an odd off flavor like chlorophenol - rather plasticy. Flavor is a bit better but still overly sweet with cotton candy, juicy fruit and minty. Good bitterness. Just really don’t need my apa’s this sweet. iugrad93 (265) - Indiana, USA - AUG 29, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2012 Pours a clear copper with white head that leaves lots of lacing. At first, I smelled aromas of mango and peach, but knew that was not quite right, then read the write up and passionfruit is what I smell. Taste is light bitter, nice sweetness as well. Crisp and clean palate with nice dry finish. Overall, this is a good session beer with nice balance of malts and hops. They passionfruit is a nice addition and provides a nice aroma. Well done. UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 Draft on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice glowing amber orange pour, a healthy glow and haze with a small frothy whitish head that dies to a tiny ring and laces small. Aromas are a rich fruity citrus hopping, Galaxy hops take control with grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemons, oranges. Melon, pale malts, touches of biscuits. Really nice. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied with a rich strong hop presence, dry and citrusy, florals, melons, mangos. A melange of fruits and stronger bitterness. Backend has pale malts and some bread peeking through, some dryness really sticks to the palate. Crisp and citrusy hops. Really fruity and vibrant. Goddamn this is a quality APA with an awesome Galaxy hop presence. Still very fruity, light malt body stays out of the way. Highly drinkable. Quality flavorful hop. It’s all about the Galaxy here and it brings what is advertised. Bringing a Bullet home to the crew. DWestrick (864) - Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 19, 2011
draft at JK O’Donnels - surprised I’m the first review - has excellent aroma - beer not as strong as it smells, but very drinkable. solid ale
