Pours a gold/orange with a small white head.
Tropical fruit and passionfruit slam your nose with a little bit of dankness to it as well. Very unique aroma.
Flavor follows the nose closely. Wonderful passion fruit up front taste with a little bitterness coating the back of the tongue. Surprisingly smooth.
A touch sticky and good carbonation levels.
I’ve had Flat12 many times, but this was my first trip to their site. Very quality beer and this one went first of all the growlers I took to a party.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2012 Pours a clear copper with white head that leaves lots of lacing. At first, I smelled aromas of mango and peach, but knew that was not quite right, then read the write up and passionfruit is what I smell. Taste is light bitter, nice sweetness as well. Crisp and clean palate with nice dry finish. Overall, this is a good session beer with nice balance of malts and hops. They passionfruit is a nice addition and provides a nice aroma. Well done. Light caramel and citrus, but mostly passion fruit in the aroma. Golden in color, it retained a thin head until the last drop. The taste is lightly sweet with a light bitter finish, and the palate is very creamy for a pale ale. Overall, this is a fantastic pale ale. Trying this beer reminded me of trying Zombie Dust the first time, when it was still named Cenotaph. The aroma really differentiates this ale from other pales, similarly to Zombie Dust. While Zombie Dust is extremely hopped for a pale, the palate is thin and the bitter finish can become a bit overwhelming if enjoying more than a couple of pints. Walkabout is balanced much better, and more easily enjoyed with its soft mouth feel. If Three Floyds brewed this, it would be an instant smash. However, if Flat 12 keeps brewing ales likes this, the rest of the country may have another Indiana brewery to envy. JStax (7396) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Draft pour. Pours a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is big tropical fruits, juicy citrus, and just a hint of pine. Juicy bitterness. Very refreshing. Delicious beer and outstanding for the style. Floback (550) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Six pack of bottles from Crown Liquor, Indianapolis. Pours an inch of off-white head with good retention over a gold/amber body. Thick, coating lace on the glass. Large nose of light and zesty tropical fruit. Fruit flavors continue in the mouth with an overlay of resinous hop presence. I also picked up notes of soap, perfume, banana bread, and subtle pineapple. Medium carbonation and medium/full body. This is a very unique pale ale and a pleasure to imbibe.

12oz. Pours medium golden with a nice sticky white head. Tropical fruit, grass, and caramel show. Nice tangarine, melon, and mango from the hops. Nice carbonation and body. Super drinkable and well executed. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 Draft on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a nice glowing amber orange pour, a healthy glow and haze with a small frothy whitish head that dies to a tiny ring and laces small. Aromas are a rich fruity citrus hopping, Galaxy hops take control with grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemons, oranges. Melon, pale malts, touches of biscuits. Really nice. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied with a rich strong hop presence, dry and citrusy, florals, melons, mangos. A melange of fruits and stronger bitterness. Backend has pale malts and some bread peeking through, some dryness really sticks to the palate. Crisp and citrusy hops. Really fruity and vibrant. Goddamn this is a quality APA with an awesome Galaxy hop presence. Still very fruity, light malt body stays out of the way. Highly drinkable. Quality flavorful hop. It’s all about the Galaxy here and it brings what is advertised. Bringing a Bullet home to the crew. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Gold pour, white head. The tropical aroma is nice. Mango and lychee. Flavor is lightly bitter, nice and citrusy, mango, light lychee flavors. Really a nice fresh and hoppy brew! Light caramel malt balances this nice. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Tap at Three Fires. Fresh floral and orange hops, toffee malt aroma. Clear gold with a small white head. Toffee malt, fresh fruity hops flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice, easy drinking beer. bagalagalaga (161) - Indiana, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Very citrus/grapefruity hops in a smooth drinking ale. A little higher in price compared to some other comparable pale ales, but very solid and worth trying.
