Enjoyed on tap at Flatlanders Brewery while waiting for some soon-to-be former co-workers (2 weeks left!). Appearance like miller lite, clear pale yellow with small white head. Aroma like miller lite, smells of straw hay, somewhat like an old man’s basement but not as succinct as ml, no hop presence whatsoever. Taste is surprisingly good! Actually has a piney hop flavor that adds to the smoothness, slightly crisp in the flnish, not too malty, actually more hoppy than malty but not an ipa or pale ale by any means. Pleasant surprise and would definitely recommend to any continual lager consumers. envane (586) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2011
Hazy gold with a white head. Diacetyl aroma. Taste is malt with diacetyl and some light hops. Dogbrick (14294) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear orange-gold color with a thin and creamy white head that recedes to a film eventually. Half rings of lacing on the glass. Mildly spiced hops aroma with notes of bready malt. Light body with flavors of mildly floral hops, grainy malt and a bit of corn. The finish is lightly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Okay overall. On tap at the Flatlanders Brew Pub. Poured a light and clear yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of general grassiness and a touch of malty sweetness (caramel). Thin body.

Poured a clear bright golden with a short, creamy white head.. nice lacing. Aroma was of sweet, soft biscuity pale malts with mild floral accents.. touch of caramel too. Flavor found a light biscuity base with a citrus twist.. simple, but tasty. Light-bodied but never watery.. dry and refreshing finish. Nice one. muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 1, 2007
Draught sample at the brewpub, December 28th 2006. Faintly hazy gold with a small ring of head, no lacing....grassy nose seems almost crisp and pleasant but a hint of musty dry yeast kills that and flattens the pleasantness....rather adjuncty (ricey) sour body, very typical cheap-big 3-pale lager profile, watery with low carbonation...some off flavors, spoiled milk and metallic notes...not good at all really. frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - DEC 16, 2006
Pale golden with a thin white skin that leaves wet lace trails. Light cattiness opens up to noble hop bitters. Creamy with a tingle. Gentle bitterness holds above a nutty base. Nothing adjuncty nor "off" about it... which is all you can really hope for from a brewpub Pale Lager.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden. Clear. Small white head. Subdued noble hop aromas. Reminds me very much of a kölsch because of the way the hops and the flavours stand out. Really mellow aroma and flavours with a more prominent hop bitterness. Finishes somewhat neutral with only a little dryness from hops. Fizzy gold with a short foamy head. Dish detergent aroma, Herbal Essence shampoo and pils malt. Hits as astringent but light. Finishes like chomping on a dishwasher tab. Some bready characteristics but paling and tinged overall.
