Yellow with a lasting white head. Classic aroma of herbal hops and bready malt. Dry, hoppy and bitter flavour

330ml bottle. Large white head of dense foam, straw coloured and well carbonated. Grain, malt and barley aroma that is quite strong and pleasant on the nose. Clean and crisp flavour with a strong body for a pilsener. Long aftertaste and all round nice beer.

Bottle bought at Kegs and Barrels on 15th n Plano TX and poured into a Pilner glass. Poured with one finger of head that went away immediately. Minimal carbonation. The color is a clear gold. Very little smell. What is there is slightly floral, and earthy and and even smells of swiss cheese. The taste is very earthy. Taste of peat moss and swiss cheese. Quite a bitter profile, but not a particularly pleasant one. There is a pleasant hint of malt on the finish. Overall, I am disappointed. Perhaps something was wrong with mine.

12 oz flip-top bottle was a nice change. Bright clear gold color with white head. Hoppy aroma. Hoppy and citrusy taste with aftertaste on palate. Overall it was like a Dos Equis or Mexican style pils. lager (not Vienna).

TheDog (586) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 19, 2010
Bottle 33cl. Golden colour with white head. Aroma and taste of hops, flower, grass and a bit citrus. Nice balanced bitterness and finish with floral hops. Nice charming bottle and overall impression over medium for the type.

Pours gold with a large, white lasting head. Smells appley and sweet with some floral hoppy notes. Tastes sweet and citrussy with a grassy finish.

jspruit (122) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 5, 2010
Got this classic 500mL bottle at The Drink Store in Stoneybatter. Pours a light pale/clear color with a nice 1.5 finger off-white bubbly head. Some carbonation in the pour and the head drops down to a nice light bubbly film. Smells of a pilsner/lager with some very light fruits/hops/bitter tones. Definitely light though overall with some sweet notes detected at the end. For a light, in appearance, beer there is actually a few things going on here which is nice in the taste. The light citrus notes come first, then a bit of sweet hops, and then finished with a slight bitterness. Nice. Reminds me alot of some Czech pilseners too. This isn’t a super-filling mouthfeel beer, but there is enough going on that it finishes nice and makes you want to take another sip and isn’t too full. I could have another one of these and would definitely see how if the weather was warmer in the sun I could down a couple of these no problem.

330 ml bottle. From Großenbrode, Germany.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Grainy malty aroma with straw, hay and notes of hops. Also some esthery sweetness. Flavour is harsh grassy bitter hops combined with grainy maltness. Bitter aftertaste.

theisti (4113) - Kansas, USA - MAR 24, 2010
355 ml swing top bottle purchased at Hills and Dales Icehouse in San Antonio, Texas. 01.14.11 stamped on bottle. Pour is clear pale golden with a bright white one inch head. Head is full and lasting. Aroma is sweet grain, malt and mild herbal earthy hops. Taste is the nose, honey sweet malt and herbal earthy hops along with mineral. Really nicely integrated and dry. Palate is medium to thin bodied with really soft and fine carbonation. Nice one.
