330ml swing tip bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale yellow. Fairly crisp carbonation. Thin, characterless malt. Slight sweetness. Dusty, slightly cardboardy hops. Fairly noticeable bitterness which lingers in the finish. Faint biscuit and citric note inbetween the swallow and the finish. Better quality malt, fresh, whole hops, no filtering, no force carbonisation, and some sense of adventure might lift this above the stunningly ordinary. Nice bottle, shame about the beer.

335 ml swingtop, bb Jan 27, 2009. Gold with a small, but lasting head. Aroma is faint honey and dry grass. Flavor is similar, but with some apple-grape and a slightly harsh lemongrass finish. Light tingly body has a dry finish.

Embrouille (2848) - SWITZERLAND - JUL 21, 2008
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2009 Bottled 33cl. It pours a yellow beer with a white head. The nose is citrusy. Hints of lime, lemon and chestnuts. Grainy. Rather citrusy taste. Notes of lime showing up again. It reminds me a bit of Blkstoff. Light bodied. Poor lacing. Some bitterness in the finish which is quite pleasant.

Nice beer, but nothing more, so an avarge appearance, body and taste of a german pilsner.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2008 Bottle, Horrible beer. Extremely metallic tasting with chalky overtones. If this beer actually tastes like this then I would be ashamed to produce it. I must have gotten a bad bottle. Poured with no head and a flat body. I will track this one down again and re-rate later.

Taste 7/8. Looks: Very pale yellow, white top. Aroma: Bread, straw, minute floral. Taste: Whole grain wheat bread. Palate: Thin dry and a little spice. An unusual mild creaminess to the body. Would be happy to drink this again.

Bottled. Pale golden colour with small white head. Aroma is saltwater, hops, some maltyness to balance it up. Flavour is quite much the same, with a rather long hoppy aftertaste.

Bottled in Berlin. The Flensburg beers are popping up everywhere, I remember when you had to go to dingy Kneipen in Flensburg to find them. A classic Northern German pilsener. Crisp, clean, dry. Pronounced hoppiness, just as I like them.

Clean gold pour frothy white head and spotty lacing. Straw like aroma. Crisp and clean flavor. Notable hop flavor with grassy & bready notes.

Good for a Pilsner, bad for my types, but I have to recognize he hops ar enice. Actually, I think Wacken festival took it as its official beer. The Scorpions drumme,r didnt like it.
