Looks like your average lager, except the foam isnt that ugly, its actually quite nice. The aroma is quite average too, but the flavor has a nice finish with some hops that manages to raise it a bit above average lagers.

Oakes (16466) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 5, 2008
Hazy straw colour. Very rocky head is worth a point itself. Fresh grain nose, hint of seabreeze and very herbal hop notes. Sort of light, watery on the palate with light bitterness. Hint of herbal hop. Creamy maltiness at the end.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2011 Bottle. Pours light gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy, clean malt with light mild hop. Flavor is much the same and dry with metallic notes. Light, watery body with high carbonation. Overall it is "ok".

Beershine (5224) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2008
Pours clear blonde with thick rocky head leaving lots of lovely lacing. Fresh grain nose, wonderfully fresh considering the bottle traveled such a long way. Thin, watery, and disappointing flavors after that. Not enough hops to warrant the pils designation. Cereal sweetness. Quaffable. Has a clean finish and a subtle spark of woodsy hop in the back of the throat but having to search for hops in a pils is like having to search for sun in Florida--it should not happen. Overall not bad and bears some contemplativeness.

Pours a nice clear light golden from clasp top bottle. Forms nice large white foamy head. Aroma of malts and hops with ocean water. Flavour is a malty yeasty bread like character. Both smooth and bold, easy drinking and enjoyable. A true classic, would love to try on tap.
