At a tasting, thanks David. Small stable head, clear yellow colour with orange taints, spice banana and earthy mossy notes on the nose, Dry with notes of orange but a little dry and watery, short cheesy aftertaste. Not very good. zvikar (6575) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - MAY 18, 2009
At a tasting - thanks David, DArk yellow with nice head, some yeast some banana and some clove in the aroma, white wine flavor with some viniger and some off-flavors, almost watery, maybe spoiled. DSG (15403) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 18, 2009
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen! Best before date is a week ago. Slightly hazy golden. Phenolic yeasty spiciness and fruits in the aroma. Sourish flavor with lots of yeast and tropical fruit hints. Light-bodied. GAManiac (1946) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 13, 2009
330mL fliptop poured into a pint glass.
The pour is pretty unimpressive on this one. It pours a deep golden color with a very bubbly, effervescent head that recedes immediately to nothing and leaves no ring or lacing to speak of.
The aroma is very light and mainly some bananas with a light yeast aroma and hints of clove, but not a lot.
The taste is a watered down version of the aroma with some banana sweetness and a bit more lemony tartness up front. The yeast backbone is there as well.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and almost watered-down with lots of bubbly carbonation.
This is an average hefe at best and the flavors are just too light and watery to make this one too enjoyable. 184601 (206) - Mexicali, MEXICO - MAY 12, 2009
mm not bad, but i was expecting better grom a German company however purchaed at WAL mART in Mexicali,Mexico, single bottle, maybe its because it was about to expire but , the cloudygolden body and , hazy , quick-fadong head doesnt quite beat American macro-hefes, hasnt too mcuh of flavour just the abscence of lupus(hops), nothing special really

Pours a hazy dark yellow colour with a big, cotton-like white head. It lasts for some minutes and leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma has lots of banana, as expected but it’s not as strong as some other Hefes I had (like Franziskaner and Paulaner) and some wheat is also noticeable.
Flavor is rather light, refreshing with lots of wheat and grains. Tends to the sweet side without being cloying and maintaining a refreshing profile.
Good light to medium body, medium carbonation. Simple, crisp and refreshing. Silck texture, finishes short and bold.
A good Hefe from Northern Germany. jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2009
(Bottle BB 113109):
Pours a very pale yellow color body, somewhat cloudy. Small creamy whitish head. Lastingish. Banana aroma, some alcohol. Light fruit. Spiciness too. Banana and fruit taste. Light spiciness. A little too harsh for a typical hefeweizen. Somewhat malty taste. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 17, 2009
Bottle. Pours with a large, foamy, slightly off-white head. Hazy golden body. Aroma is grassy, grainy, hay, wheaty, tree bark and very light banana esters. Taste is grainy and wheaty with very slight notes of vanilla and a light clove spice profile. Thin, slightly vinegary, and lively carbonation. Cavie (4874) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 13, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2010 Slightly hazy yellow. Fruity aroma, similar to a Belgian wheat. Taste is not too strong, but has a gentle touch of wheat. Out of the three I tried tonight, this was the best but that’s not saying much. 2.5 SeanMacGC (334) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 9, 2009
RE-RATE 12/11/10 Bottle courtesy Fratto. Murky brownish gold appearance with a decent sized white head. Aroma smells strongly of sweet bread, fruit and rye. Flavor is grainy, bread, and fruit. Finishes slightly watery and bready. Little change.
Bottle, 500ml. Pours off-clear golden, with half-finger deep white head, that quickly dissipates to faint. A lot of banana on the nose, citrus and cloves on the palate. Slightly too watery on the palate for a hefe, though crisp enough with it.
