COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

3.1
Embrouille (2853) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 17, 2009
Bottled 33cl. Appearance: Hazy orange. Average sized head. Some lacework. Aroma: Glue, overripe banana, vanilla and tobacco. Flavor and palate: Slightly sour. Hints of dried apricots, banana, herbs, vanilla and dust. Not much carbonation. Light bodied. Overall impression: Very interesting and atypical.

decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JAN 27, 2009
Aroma of vanilla and wheat. Slightly hazed gold pour. Vanilla and a very light bitter. Good carbonation light and slightly watery. Pretty good but not much like a hefe?

djd07 (14533) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 24, 2009
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy copper golden color with a medium frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is banana, clove, wheat, and dry yeast. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a watery wheat malt with banana and a dry finish. A decent hefe from Flensburger.

fritzwolfgang (1) - , Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2009 does not count
Typical Weitzen taste. Love the pop bottle. Have not tried to drink it non-chilled yet. This weizen beer is really an Excellent Imported Value.

mikeben (355) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2009
I like the bottle cool cork contraption. The beer has a nice haze, clean smell and taste. Not overly flavorful but a solid hefe.

SpringsLicker (3641) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 11, 2009
Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this at his 2008 Zapit Tasing Tasting. Pours clear light gold with a small white head. Faint malt aroma little or no other esters. Just not much here to talk about.

2.1
SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 19, 2008
Bottle swing-top: Poured an orange with fluffy cream head. Metallic, banana, and citrus aroma. Taste is a dirty veggie.

3
BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - DEC 14, 2008
Bottle shared by decaturstevo. Poured a slightly hazy pale with a creamy white head that left good lace. Wheat aroma with a light apple and honey backing. The flavor has the wheat and spice expected of a hefe but also some honey and other light malts in the background. Light body.

3.5
Eyedrinkale (3214) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 13, 2008
Bottle, just like in the picture. Pours burnt orange with a tight bubbled white head into a Brooklyn wheat glass. The aroma is almost all bubblegum with just some wheat to balance it out a little. The flavor starts out with smooth banana and vanilla along with the mellowest of spicy hops. A really interesting and unique weizen that finishes dry.

17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 6, 2008
Pours a clear darker golden with some larger soda bubbles and a large thick creamy off-white head. Zesty sweet ripe banana aroma with notes of butter yeast and hay/pumpkin seeds. Whoa... a bit different in taste. These descriptors are pretty right on, paper, toffee, cashews and candied ripe banana. Finishes dry with with some chalky alcohol bitterness and light bubble-gum. Weak watery palate that still manages to leave a sugary feeling in the mouth, lightly gritty with softer large bubble carbonation .
