The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

Nice hazy golden appearance with a delicious foamy, lacing head. Fine phenolic banana aroma, top fermented perfume. Smooth mouthfeel, fermented wheat taste, some light citruses. Fine weizen!

Hazed light golden color with a moderate white head. Sweet wheat and bananas dominate the aromas and just a hint of cloves. Quite thin in feel. Mild wheat and banana again in the flavors with a circus peanut middle. Light, sweet and thin.

Cool swintop mini bottle!, the color is like a russian gold, the head is poor, if we compare with others weizen beers, the aroma is stong, the cereal is present always. the flavor is good and large. tnx to Eurofood for import this weizen beer!!!

12oz bottle from Racetrack Liquors (Tampa). Pours a cloudy golden amber with white creamy head. Good head retention. Smells sweet, honey, bread, yeast, hint of muscat grapes. Taste is tangy, sweet at first with some spice but turns slightly sour by the end. Somewhat oily mouthfeel.

Not a distinct aroma, smells like a typical hefeweizen, a little citric, some fruit. Quite foamy head. Nothing really stands out with the taste. I definitely agree with the characterization of the flavor as boring. Its a decent beer and I wouldnt pass on one, but I wont be seeking it out.

Bottle. It has a hazy, orange body with a nice, dense off-white head. Sweetish on the nose, with banana, some caramel, a fruityness and a hint of spices. The flavor is a bit boring, at least compared to the really good hefeweizens, but the usual banana, bubblegum, sweetness and a little spicyness is present. Its bitter and fruity in the finish. Medium body, dryish in a way, with a decent level of co2. Its sure a drinkable beer, no off-flavors, but there seems to be a little too little of everything. (080412)

Golden but cloudy in appearance with a really foamy head. Weak citrus aroma and a lemony citrus flavor. Overall, very smooth. It should make nice drinking for the summer.

SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - APR 30, 2008
Bottle, Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a hazy yellow with minimal white head that barely survived the beer to the end. Nice light smell of bannana. Flavor of bannana, some clove, citris, with a somewhat metallic taste as well. Palate was medium-high carb. with a light, somewhat watery mouthfeel. Not bad, but probably wont buy again.
