gegwilson (3784) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2015
Bottle fromthe Dram Shop in Sheffield. Pours amber with a nice big frothy off white head. Grainy aroma. The taste is slghtyl sweet and spicy with bread, grain and nuts. Maybe a touch of aniseed. Not great.

reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 22, 2015
330ml swingtop bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy with some cereal grains and a hint of caramel. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness with a hint of spice in the finish. Light to medium bodied with some nice carbonation. A decent brew that suits the style well.

pintbypint (3767) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 11, 2015
330ml brown flip top. Clear golden colour with a generous creamy white head. Nose has sweet malts and bread. Taste is sweet and bready with light herbal notes. Finish is malty. Lingering grassy notes. Light bodied. Ok.

TorbenJensen (1546) - Valby, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2015
Thick rough foam. Weak aroma, however, reveals a bit of malt and hops. The taste is pleasant malty and tang of some fruit and caramel. Hop bitterness is long and sustained without stifling malt sweetness. Type real and delicate without ever being surprising.

esp0r (2928) - NORWAY - JUN 10, 2015
Bottle from VP Aker Brygge enjoyed at home
Golden clear, massive creamy white head. Smell of hay, hints of grass and dust, quite alot of light malts, a herbal touch. Medium sweet, hay and newly cut grass, nice malt base, quite clean flavors with no yeast influence, moderate bitter finish. Quite true to style, but somehow more interesting than most heller bocks i’ve tried.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium sized head. Malty and phenolic with toffee caramel biscuits almonds spices. Dry spicy finish.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear deep golden body with a small white head. Nose is caramel, brown cheese, grains, pale malts and hints of almonds, marzipan and nougat. Taste is grains, malty sugary tones, mild caramel, pale malts and hints of almonds and faint nougat. Full body, medium to soft carbonation. Heller Bock has always struck me as something of a misplaced genre; not quite a bock, not quite a strong lager, and not really that tasty either. This one is no exception.

2.8
Erzengel (9348) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - FEB 27, 2015
*Old rating, best before 19.11.05. Malzig-würziges Bier. Leichte alkoholische Töne, schöne helle Malzaromen, würziges Bier, nett.
