22 oz bottle. Honestly, had no idea this purported to be a Belgian IPA. Pours a murky orange pour with an off white head. Aroma of belgian funk, some estery fruit. Flavor is mildly bitter, funky, spicy, almost cidery. Lighter carbonation than I would hope, finishes hoppy. Interesting. There’s something here but needs to be refined a bit. crossovert (12874) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Hazy brown pour, no head. Super fruity smell with lots of esters and some spice. Flavor is interesting. Very belgiany, almost funky yeast, wine or cider-like. I don’t consider it much of an ipa though other than the grassy medium finishing bitterness. Not a fan of the yeast but a decent brew for my palate. tmoreau (4363) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2013
12 oz. serving to stemware at Pour Phil’s in Oak Park, IL., displaying a cloudy, orangy amber hue, good persistence to the modest hat of silky, white foam, and ribbons & spots of clingy lacing. The aroma was an initially soft scent of Belgian yeast, then light fruit, light spice, and herbal hints. Citrus added to the esters in the flavor, with soft malt, low but mildly lingering hop bitterness, and some light astringency. Less than medium bodied, with decent carbonation, and a pleasantly dry finish.
