COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It became a bit of a joke during the early days of the brewery setup when every time someone asked when the beer would be ready, our brewer would reply "10 days" . He stuck with this response for about 3 and a half weeks. A dark amber ale that focuses on the rich, nutty flavors of the malted barley it is made from while remaining very drinkable and satisfying. Malt bill: Marris Otter malt, roasted barley, aromatic malt, flaked oats Hops: Nugget

Draft... Clear, deep, dark mahogany ale with a short-lived, white head. The bouquet is a malty blend of caramel and roasted barley. Full-bodied and creamy with stinging carbonation. The flavor is medium sweet, lightly nutty and caramely with a rumor of phenolic spiciness. Finishes malty, mildly sweet and a hint minerally.

A very good beer. Malty, nutty, and sweet. You can enjoy this beer in any season and feel refreshed. Flix has six "core" beers that they constantly brew and have on tap year-round. This is one of the core six that is not only a guest favorite, but also an employee favorite.

Gold amber with a filmy head. Malty aroma. Skunk bite, tastes like it’s got a bit of Old Style. Slightly sticky mouthfeel.

kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Very dark brown but still translucent. Off white head. So cool I can’t smell the aroma much. It tastes like a straight up amber lager albeit a strong one. I can’t find much Scottish character in this brew but it is a little bit peaty on the finish.

Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - AUG 18, 2012
