COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A mahogany colored sour ale that has undergone secondary fermentation in American white oak red wine barrels for 10 months. Fresh blackberries were added to the barrels creating a tart, complex beer with hints of oak and fruit.

Sample at GABF. Pours a hazy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, leather, berry, oak. Thin body, tart berry, oak, light dry finish, very good.

Batch 2 i think, 18 months in wine barrels .. . Pours a dark amber tan .. Solid foam .. . Tannins, medium sourness, funk wood in a forest, berry .. . Mouth is mild, as is the finish .. Good but not as intense as the description reads .. . . If you didn’t bring a pencil, you’re already out!!

(Draught) medium hazy orange/copper, creamy medium tan head. Nose of manure, copper, quite funky, light fruit, blackberry, light chewable vitamins. Taste of blackberry, lightly tart, wet wood, cream, chewable Vitamins, bugs. Medium thick body, medium carbonation, maybe some Brett and wine linger.

Tulip at Flix while watching Jack Reacher. Plenty of berries smellied and tasted. Funk was the lightest in any sour I have had. By far. Wod was also light. I hoped for much more funk. This was mostly a fruit beer.
