AROMA: Sweet, clean, floral aroma with some orange sherbet notes. 9/12
APPEARANCE: Flame orange, mostly clear. Slow CO2 visible. Pours to a large beige, foamy head. Great retention and lacing. 3/3
FLAVOR: Fairly strong bitterness throughout. Flavors of citrus peel and orange-flavored candy. Amber maltiness offers balance but not a malty beer per se. Enjoyable palette, but familiar. 15/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; fairly chewy/viscous mouthfeel. Minor alcohol warmth. Hops linger in aftertaste and are somewhat astringent. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Traditional, familiar American IPA in all aspects. Plenty to enjoy, but nothing that amazes. 7/10
TOTAL SCORE: 37/50
Bottle. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met with a good beer. bigguns22 (800) - Maryland, USA - JUN 29, 2014
A nice dry ipa with a good hope profile. Aroma is malty, sweat and hoppy. Very dry and crisp. Could drink a few but leaves you needing some water very dry. jbruner (5121) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - AUG 17, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2014 Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow on tap with nice lasting white head. Aroma is what you expect from the hops, piney grapefruit, hint of malty sweetness. Taste is hop forward as well, but nice balance with a mild bitterness. Well rounded, nothing mind blowing, but well made, hops die of quick. hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2015
Bottle... Pours hazy and deeply yellow with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is both fruity and malty - oranges, tangerines and sugar cookies with undercurrents of grapefruit, passionfruit and white pepper. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and airy carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet - big cookie sweetness and a slightly more abundant ration of metallic bitterness. The flavors don’t really meld until the aftertaste. Disjointed up front, but still pretty darn good for this brewery.

12oz Flasche. Helles kastanienfarbenes Bier mit flachem Schaum. Schöne Hopfennoten. Grapefruit, Harz. Geschmack Citrus, Hopfen und Malz. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - MAR 15, 2016
On tap at the brewery taproom.
Medium amber and clear body with good clarity and an excellent and durable off-white head.
Aroma. nice malty aroma with plenty of sweet caramel ... but from an "IPA"? Some hop presence, but dominated by the malts.
Flavor: High malt load and balance as expected from the aroma, but there’s a clear hop presence worthy of an APA (but not an IPA). Mild-medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel: smooth and somewhat creamy with fairly soft carbonation.
Overall; tasty but not true to style. Nekronos (4174) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 7, 2015
Nice and drinkable although a little bit graspy. Nice aroma of hoppy features and flows properly. yespr (47034) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2014
12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and citrusy. Smooth fruity, pine and grapefruity. Bitter, herbal and dry. Mild toasted malty. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2014
12oz bottle, thanks to Homer321. Mostly hazy orange amber color. Good thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good bigger citrusy grapefruity hop aroma. Kind of spicy. Interesting kind of biscuity caramely malt. Bigger bitter taste. Light sweet. Solid IPA. Good longer hoppy aftertaste to it.
