Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a pretty decent roast/coffee/chocolate. Flavor is again pretty decent. Lots of roasted malt with a heavy char after taste. This is a well done beer. Lots of roasted malt flavor that stays with you long after the first sip.

Not a big porter fan. This one is decent. Pours very dark with light to moderate carbonation...minimal mocha head. Tastes smoky, nutty and finishes creamy.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2016 12 oz bottles (in 2014 & 2016) poured near black with a towering, creamy light brown head. Feel: creamy and full bodied feel. Soft, medium carbonation. Rich and relatively complex, with a good suggestion of chocolate and a hint of coffee with the dark roasted malt character. Subtle hints of smoke and black licorice. O: a robust porter in style, this is also on the new label.

Bierkrug (2129) - - MAR 13, 2014
330 ml bottle fro the beer stroe in Pompano Beach FL. Pours a dark black with a dark tan head. Aroma is complex malt, coco, nuts and hops. Taste is a bit hoppy for style but good. The palate leaves a burnt metal effect but then mellows out to a stale cigar. Overall not bad but not great either in over all or by the style.
