Bottle, as Floris Kriek. Very cold. Murky red with a lasting pink head. Aroma is children’s analgesic medicine, cherry flavour. Taste is very sweet and more about sugar than cherries. Somewhat artificial, too. A little wheat texture and taste - the touch of sourness is buried pretty deep. Finish is pleasingly dry with an almond note. Too sweet for me, but it’s not too bad for an alcopop.

On tap at the Delirium Café in Brussels. Decent red colour, pink head, kind of a fake-tasting cherry syrup thing going on but well balanced enough to get some lambic and wheat notes come through. Still artificial and unmemorable in the Kriek department.

Eructoblaster (4271) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 17, 2010
Bottle - 330ml. Pours a hazy ruby body with low carbonation and a fair pink creamy/foamy head. Strong cherry aroma with spicy hints. Taste is well balanced and ends with a good fruity/sour finish. Good introduction to fruit beers.

Blood red pour. Nose is sweet. In the mouth it’s cough syrup with a miniscule wheat profile. One for the lady that drinks cocktails and doesn’t like beer. Not bad, just sweet like a soda.

0.25l, draught, as Floris Kriek, at Pater Marcus, Budapest.
Poured a murky darker red body with a hyperpink thick head. Quite gay. Cherries dominate the nose with some dust clinging to them. The taste is sweet, cherries of course again. Sweet-sour aftertaste. 1-dimensional fruit juice with alcohol, enjoyable but hardly a great beer.

bartazo (90) - Esztergom, HUNGARY - MAR 24, 2010
0,33 L-es üveges kiszerelés. Kiöntéskor lassan bugyog el a babarózsaszín hab, mely alatt a test opálos, érett meggy színű. Illatát is a meggy aroma uralja. Savanykásabb és kicsit művibb, mint a Lindemans hasonló terméke. A háttérban egy kis malátás íz is érezhető, de ez ebben az esetben nem előny. Utóíze nem tetszik.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A hazy, red beer with a glow. White head. The artificial aroma has almonds and some cherries. The flavor is pretty much the same, artificial, with almonds and cherries, and a hint of vanilla. Finishes in the same way. Too sticky on the palate, medium body fullness. Definately not my kind of beer. 091024

deyholla (11759) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 26, 2009
Bottle. Poured a deep red with a thick pink head. Aroma had notes of both sour and sweet cherries. Flavor was more like a cherry soda pop than a beer, highly carbonated and overly sweet.
