A: The pour is nearly flat and very dark brown in color, almost black, with a short lived and thin off-white head.
S: Smells mostly like molasses and brown sugar, with perhaps just a bit of vanilla. A touch of raisins to go with it along with some roasted malts.
T: The flavor is more toward the roasted side with a bit of ash and burnt sugar character. It’s slightly watery with some miscellaneous dark fruit flavors. The more I drink, the more I pick up on a pretty strong bitterness.
M: The body is medium and the carbonation is pretty darn low.
D: Wasn’t really a fan of this beer at all. It sounded like it could be a promising beer, but that just didn’t turn out to be the case. Dedollewaitor (16174) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2012
