hazy orange, small off white head, lacy. nose is florally and belgian yeasty. flavor is floral and bitter at the same time. medium bodied, bitter finish. a decent enough brew, but my notes say "it didn’t move me". frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2011
Very transparent golden/amber under a two-finger, clingy white head. Rather sharp cheeses come across heavy in the aroma with some dry incense elements. So, I suppose I’d call that a yeast predominance with a smoky backdrop... and I like it. Flavor mimmicks the aroma with a harsh yeast presence coming across as smoky florals (I wrote that it was like "licking an incense stick".) Fruity notes come out later, sweeter peaches and grapes. Very dry with a nice sharp taste of clean alcohol on the finish. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Old notebook, rating dated 2/23/10. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2010
22 oz bottle. Clear orange with a thin pocked head. Nose is yeast, ginger and perfume with hints of toffee and citrus; quite like a tripel. Medium body with a buzz. Taste is yeasty lemon, tangerine peel and bitter grass with a doughy finish. Something different from Flossmoor; pretty good but strange. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 13, 2010
Bottle from BeerBunker. Thanks! Nose is of bubble gum, floral notes, light pepper and lemon. Nose is not too assertive really but it smells pleasant. Light golden pour with a nice head and nice lace. Flavors of light bubblegum, bread, dough, floral, pepper, and lemony hops. Lightly bitter finish. Light body, crisp carbonation, and a pleasant beer all around, just not overly interesting or assertive. . lovemyipas (544) - nw burbs, Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2010

22oz. bomber with red/orange wax, big thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum for yet another FS IPA! Pours a clear golden orange with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is spicy belgian yeast at the outset, along with citrus, lemon zest, and some floral. Flavor is spice, citrus, zest and some floral notes. A bit disjointed and agree this one is a bit chaotic. Not bad, just a little odd, even for a belgian IPA. Thanks again Adam! Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2010
Red-orange wax dipped bomber. Pours a crystal clear, medium golden hue. Fine streams of effervescing bubbles screech towards the surface, pooling into a thick and creamy head of off-white foam. The ultra-smooth head leaves dense sheets of lacing all over the glass. Aromas are of clean grain malt, estery Belgian yeast, lemon peel, and spicy coriander. Zesty, lemony hops seem a bit overpowered by the dominant yeast profile at first, but as it warms, some tropical fruit notes emerge. Flavors are well balanced, again showing quite spicy and zesty, with a floral overtone and a clean grain background. Medium bodied and semi-dry, with a fine but active carbonation, the palate is crisp and refreshing. Good brew. redlight (2325) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2010
Shared by Beerlando. Floral fruity nose, apricots, mangos, a lot of tropical fruits going on in the nose. Pours blonde with a thick white head. Bread-like flavors with hints of those tropical fruits in the aroma, a mild earthy bitterness, with hints of clove in the dry finish. Not bad, better as it warms in the glass. thanks to fishingnet for the share.
A: Pours a pale golden hue with a small head. No retention or lace.
S: Aroma of spruce, caramel, light apple, yeast, and spice.
T: Very fruity think apples and oranges with hints of spice and Belgian yeast.
M: Medium in body, nice carbonation.
D: Not the most tasty, but man do I love how they pump out all these IPA’s. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Orange pour with a sticky white head. Visible carbonation in the form of a thin stream of bubbles in the center of the glass rising upwards. Aroma is yeasty and fruity, belgian esters noticeable. Banana, spice, cloves, whatever you want to call it. Flavor is estery and the beginning with your requisite belgian yeast notes, but is washed away by a tide of bitter hops. Some definite orange rind in there as well. Nice carbonation, finishes orangey. I’d say this pretty good, but definitely not the best of the Flossmoor IPAs.
