Bottle courtesy of Ryan at the Rosso release. Pours a clear brown without any head really. Sweet from the start with a nice citrus rye note, almost like a rye candy. Malty and spicy, quite nice actually. Light bitterness balanced on a spicy and tannic finish. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2010

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2011 Bottle thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum! Thank alot, this was a mothers day gift for my mom who loves rye beers. She was nice enough to give me a 4 oz. pour. She said it was a 5/5, no hesitation. Now for my take. Pours a clear caramel brown with an off-white head. Aroma is full of sweet caramel, rye and an undertone of caraway. Flavor is nice caramel with a nice spice and rye undertone. Quite delicious.

Bottle… Farewell to ibrew2or3… Clear, dirty orange ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aromatic highlights are spicy rye malt, sweet-rich caramel malt and citrus-fruity hops. Full-bodied and velvety with soft carbonation. The flavor furnishes a boatload of hop and rye spiciness, lupulin bitterness and plenty of caramel malt sweetness to balance things out a touch. This one still leans toward the bitter side when all is said and done. Lengthy, bittersweet finish… the bitterness lingers a long, long time. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 17, 2010
Thanks to pittsburgh kid...what a bonus beer! Reddish pour. Tan head. Aroma is awesome with fruit, maple syrup, spice cake, brown sugar and hops. Flavor is much the same. Rich and full bodies...brown sugar, toffee, caramel, hops...damn what a beer. Top notch. phaleslu (10907) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 14, 2011
22 oz. bottle from pantanap- thanks, Kan! Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white ring for a head. Aroma of rye, wheat, caramel, dried apricot, spice, and citrus. Flavor of toffee, frosted flakes, dry grains, rye, brown sugar, dried and dark fruit, and pepper. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, dry, and spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really good barley wine and the rye element adds some nice spice for complexity. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 25, 2011
