Very filtered amber body beneath a long-lasting white head. Unassuming nose is mostly roasted grain with a mild banana backing. Flavor combines these two aspects with a mild hit of alcohol to add a pleasant "beer" aspect to the experience. [A] Very strong over ripe banana. With wheat. What can I say. [A] Golden. White head. [F] Banana. Pale malt. Lemon. Water. More wheat. [P] A watery, yet drinkable brew from flossmoor. [O] Not a shocker that this was sitting around since mid-October. I am not very fond of Hefeweizens period. Settled for this because they were out of The Curse bock. This was actually the King of bad Flossmoor beers in my book, until I asked for a sample of the Brewberry wheat. Overall, neither one won me over. Had this on draught at the brewpub in Flossmoor, Illinois. Bright, hazy medium yellow pour with a strong banana and lemongrass nose. Flavor is lightly malty, quite dry and citrusy. A bit weak in the finish, especially for the style.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold color with a little cloudiness and a white head that leaves some lace. Aroma of banana, wheat, yeast, and clove, although more muted than a lot of hefes. The flavor follows suit well, with some lemon citrus present along with malts and subtle floral notes. Very mild spices also. Light-medium bodied, with a bready mouthfeel and big banana finish. Hazed golden pour with big white head and loads of foam. The latter gives off a really huge load of banana aroma (too much?) On tap at Flossmoor Oktoberfest. Pours light orangish with a foamy white head. Aroma is of spice, citrus, wheat, lemon, and malt. Taste starts off with a lot of banana and wheat. There is a fair amount of lemon, and a helluva lot of banana in the flavor. There is also some notes of citrus, which were more present in the nose. Has a base of biscuity malt. Lingering spiciness. On tap at the FS Oktoberfest - This poured a hazy straw body with a fluffy white head. The aroma was a mix of fresh and very ripe bananas with a light spiciness, wheat bread, and a twist of lemon. The flavor carried all that, but the spices seemed to intensify, tasting almost cookie like. Very tasty hefe. Too bad the day was so dismal, leaving me wanting a barley wine....
