Draft on tap at the brewpub (Flossmoor, IL). Stopped in to try the new sour and tried this for free. A recipe I remember from my high school days as a busser, but never tried. I guess Todd’s trip back is what I owe this to, oddly. Pours a murky hazy golden hue, a good haze with a moderate frothy white head, laces well with a thicker layer. Aromas are orange peel, citrus, and coriander. Touches of spice mix with bread dough, flaked wheat, and mellow yeast. Crisp and refreshing, well balanced with a good mellow orange bite. Into the end lingering coriander, sun tan lotion, and dry flaked wheat offers bread dough, touches of light hops. Sweeter, citrusy, and fairly clean on the finish with lingering spice. Nice and fresh. Enjoyable, as much as I don’t want to admit it. RAYBOY01 (2011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2005
Nice job on a style that is not really my favorite. This refreshing wheat has an appealing cloudy pour, with a strong brisk orange-lemon citrus flavor and bright acidic finish. Good winter wheat. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2005 Strangely, they’ve never had this on tap as Flossmoor when I’m there. I had it at the Maple Tree Inn (a great place for brews) in Blue Island a couple of times. Nice light hazy yellow with a respectable head. A floral, grassy aroma with a bready yeast smell. A full mouth-feel with a citric taste and mild spicing. A truly excellent drink.iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 20, 2003

Tap: Light cloudy yellow - like fresh pineapple orange juice. Light yeasty aroma with pineapple core/stem, some soft dough and oranges as well. . . Pulpy mouthfeel, that is surprisingly clean. Thick orange flesh, lightly spicey finish. Well done ToddA! Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 7, 2003
Very opaque - just what I like to see in a wheat beer. Light floral nose - yeast, citrus, wheat and lemon included (yes, I'm aware that lemon is a citrus). Fairly light taste...toasted biscuits.

Cloudy yellow with small white head. Aroma is banana, light lemon, wheat, medium sweet. Taste is light sweet, wheat, lemon, and trace of banana. Light body. hopscotch (11045) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2003
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2006 Draft...RBSG2003... Murky, pear juice-colored beer. Small, creamy white head with great lacework. The aroma is of banana and clove, coriander, orange peel, bubble gum and butter. Perfectly-balanced flavor. Fruity and spicy up front. Astringent and lightly pungent on the backside. Very refreshing! Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and light carbonation. Not even close to being my favorite style, but a very good, high quality wit nonetheless! Radek Kliber (7316) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 1, 2003
Light, malty , yeasty aroma . Same goes to taste. Good ingredients are not always guarantee of good beer guys MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - JUL 1, 2003
Cloudy yellow appearance with thin long lasting head. Moderately wheaty with slight clove and banana notes. Nice. hoppygrrrl (104) - Albion, Michigan, USA - JUN 30, 2003
With a beautiful, cloudy lemony appearance and a fresh, fresh mildly sweet aroma, I was expecting something special. But the taste didn't quite deliver - it seemed a bit flat. But the professor in me thinks it has potential, if it would just apply itself!
