Tap. Dark black/brown pour, tan head. Sweet, roasted malt aroma. Creamy mouthfeel - chocolate and lactose. Yummy brew. ksbeerkid (28) - Emporia, Kansas, USA - NOV 25, 2009
Black Appearance with very little khaki head from the tap. Everything about this is chocolately the taste the smell, everything. I loved it very easy drinker for how dark it was. Also, definately reccommend this as a car bomb, way better than guiness, thanks the the barkeep! tmoreau (4501) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2009
On tap at the brewpub and pint served just cooler than room temp. The color was black/brown, with a thick, 1/2 in., foamy tan head and curtainy lacing. The aroma was definite roast, semi-sweet chocolate and light cream in your coffee. The flavor added to the aroma notes some brown sugar sweetness, low hop bitterness, and a slight molasses and apple cider taste?..., as it fully warmed. The body was less than full, with soft carbonation, and the mouthfeel presented a nice creaminess. Kind of a smooth dessert brew. hogan873 (451) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2009
One of my new favorites. Dark as a freshly paved parking lot with a thick brown head. Absolutely fantastic aroma of chocolate, caramel, and malt. Smooth all the way through. Smoky milk chocolate with a touch of caramel on the flavor. A very drinkable and delicious beer.

I love Flossmoor, but I hated this beer. It smelled like old man musk... which was really weird. Taste was overly sweet, and had some of that lingering old man aroma. Not much in the way of roasted malt, coffee flavor. I struggled to make it through half of the glass. ilovedarkbeer (2744) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Taste is dark sugary syrup, molasses, and sweet sugary smoke. NIce thick sweet mouthfeel with a medium to long finish. I don’t have the aroma because I knocked my glass off the table and broke it. Sweet. WickerBrew (311) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2008
Very sweet stout, probably about as sweet as they get at this easy drinking stage. Milk chocolate is sort of the taste. Its good but probably hard to drink alot of. At 4.1%, you cant really get too tipsy with this, takes alot of effort to take that much down. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - AUG 7, 2008
On tap at the brewery. Syrupy, opaque blackness with tan head. Aroma is smokey with some hoppiness and roast. Flavor is big smoke with sweet roasted malt and milk chocolate. Medium-thin body with light carbonation. Very drinkable, interesting how smokey it is. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2008
On tap at brew pub. Pours dark brown with red edges with big creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and molasses. Flavor is smooth and creamy with milk chocolate, caramel, roasted malt and molasses. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy like a candy bar.
