Bottle. Aroma deliciously hoppy from all angles, pine, citrus, grass, more pine. Flavor has a big bitter bite to go along with oh-so-smooth malt, mango, citrus, apple, grapefruit finish, mildly citric with a tart tanginess. Juicy and resinous. Lovely bitter coating in the mouth. A balanced beer that can also please the hop head. Lovely. LilBeerDoctor (4280) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2008
Bottle courtesy of inkubus27 (thanks TIm!). Pours a brown/orange with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is awesome, lots of pine and citrus hops. Flavor equals the aroma and then some. Nice citrus notes and and excellent hops/malt balance. The malt really holds up these hops. Not too heavy either. After having a few uber hoppy/mediocre IIPAs, this is the stuff!! Flossmoor really got this right! This competes with Stone Ruination and Avery Maharaja for my favorite IIPA. scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 27, 2008
22 oz. bottle, courtesy of kmweaver. Thanks, Ken! Dark amber gold, creamy white head. Thick hop aromas of grassy peach and earthy citric pine notes. Swirls of caramel become apparent at room temp. Bittersweet earthy hop flavors reign supreme throughout. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Good brew now, but fresh I’m guessing is the way to go on this one... Bomber. Poured slightly hazy peachy-orange with a short cap of beige head. The aroma picked up thick doses of grapefruit, pine resin, and sweet caramel that were presented very well together.. some zesty orange and a bit of spicy alcohol on the back of the nose. The flavor found caramel and a touch of toffee at the core surrounded by orange, pine, and slight perfumey bitterness.. finished strong, but still balanced with lots of citrus and piney bitterness. Medium-plus bodied with a great resiny bitter feel throughout.. long finish with more hops. Great one! wilkie (1208) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - AUG 18, 2008

(22oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Hazy amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, floral, grapefruit, peach. Taste is mediums weet, grapefruit/pine, some apricot. Medium body with resin, chalk. kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 8, 2008
22oz bottle, courtesy of multiple trades from a while ago. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy, golden amber color; thin off-white head with patchy lacing. Lots of earthy and citrus bitterness in the aroma; solid, earthy malt character underneath; generous, earthy hop goodness. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: loads of earthy hoppiness, with a complex candy sugar core; balanced at this point, and perhaps overly malts for a double IPA; presumably better fresh (I’ll be looking forward to the next batch of this). Lengthy finish: earthy hops and maltiness, candy sugar; lasting bitterness. WeeHeavySD (3399) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 3, 2008

22 oz bottle shared by Gregis. Pour is hazed golden ruby with a 1/2 inch white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of sweet orange citrus with bitterness and some nice full maltiness. Nicely balanced nose. Taste is rounded citrus fruit - full range of grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime; very fresh, with a nice pine flavor also present. Malt is present, nicely integrated with the cornucopia of hops. Aftertaste has bitter citrus peel. Nice medium palate. Really nice beer. Full, balanced, delicious. This was the beer of the night for me. Thanks again for sharing Greg. tjthresh (1873) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - JUL 23, 2008
Pours murky yellow-orange with a dirty off white head. Juicy hop aroma. Reminds me of Fruit Stripe gum. Decidedly hoppy flavor with the typical citrus and pine. Kind of orangey. There is plenty of caramel malt to go along with it though. Full body with a nice amount of carbonation and a dry finish. Lingers a bit. Really good. Thanks for holding on to this Greg.
