many thanks to heemer77 ( Eric ) for picking up a bomber of this while on his last beer run, shared with Illini08. pours a hazy amber with a peachy glow. a one finger tan head, settling to decent lace. aroma of grapefruit and ripe mangoes with just a hint of some spice. flavor is a near perfect blend of citrusy hops along with some pine notes followed by crusty bread flavors from the malt. a tip of the cap to the Flossmoor crew, a very well crafted brew!

Dark golden amber on the pour. Nice head and lacing left on the glass. Smell is very floral hops. Very nice. Taste is again very floral hops and some spice. There is a nice citrusy hop taste as well. This is damn fine DIPA. Very glad I could get some bottles while there. Big and bitering on the mouthfeel. Creamy and goes down very easily. The glass was finished before I wanted it to be.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, amber body with a small, white head. Smell: Lightly citric-smelling aroma of butterscotch candies, orange oils, and a slight grassiness. Taste: Sweetish blending of juiced oranges and butterscotch icecream topping. Medium-high bitterness. Slight touch of booze. A few spoonfuls of fruit smoothies. Slight sweetness on the predominately bitter finish. Mouthfeel: A bit above medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A very good Double IPA.

Bottle: Pours a transparent orange bronze with a foamy off-white head. Big, fresh piny grapefruity assertive hop nose has a touch of light fruity notes and sweet caramel malt. Body starts with good full sweet malty character and lots of fresh grapefruity flavor hops. FInishes smooth, crisp and bittersweet. A nice double IPA.

22oz bottle, with gold wax. Aroma lacks the pot aroma of the black wax bottle. Don’t get me wrong, this one has its own very disinct hop aroma. Woodier with citrus. Flavor is a rich carmael malt, followed up by a woddy hop character. Very bitter character. I would rather have the Pretty Big with a nice spicy pork dish. yuumy.

Pours a hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, and juicy citrus hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, biscuit, and a bitter earthy citrus hop finish.

ATLBeerDog (280) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a beautiful light rusty yellow color that is slightly cloudy – with a below average head, and below average lacing and slightly under carbonated. Smells of very strong heavy citrusy floral hops with not much malt aroma coming through. First taste is extremely hoppy and not so bitter yet very smooth. Finishes very well with a lovely bitter after taste. A good DIPA that s very smooth.

22oz. Poured a hazy deep amber with a small off-white head. Big citrus hop forward aroma with some sweet malt backing it up. Very big grapefruit jucie flavor. Almost like being a fruit beer. Some malt to round it out. The bitterness is mild. Medium bodied. Long finish.

On tap at the brewery, (also bomber for home) Pours a hazy golden color with a white creamy head. Has grapefruit ( what else)aroma. Lots of grapefruit, hint of pine, finish is a tad harsh. Very hopped IPA. Nice.
